400w SCROG 2 Weeks from harvest....I think

Hello everyone, this is my second attempt at growing. My first attempt was an autoflower DWC CFL grow that ended in root rot and an early harvest. I am now growing Nirvana Papaya in soil trying out the SCRoG method. This grow has been going very smoothly until recently they seem to be growing at a slower rate and are yellowing quite a bit, one of the plants is starting to droop as well. I know that most people would be flushing at this point, I have done research and am very skeptical of the flush before harvest, but now it appears that I will have to. The other problem is that The pH in the soil has started to drop a little bit down to 6.1-6.3 range. SO, my question is, do you think my plants look relatively healthy and I'm just crazy? Or should I do more than just flush them? If so what?

I believe the soil is Sunshine Professional #4
Nutrients are GH Lucas Formula ( I still had these left over from last time so I didnt want to buy more)
Using 3 gallon smart pots
I've been following a water every other day and feed every other water schedule
The scrog is 2x2
My bulb is a 400w CMH from HTG Supply
I have a 465 cfm exhaust fan throttled back to half power
And my tent is 2x2x5
My temps have been a consistent low 70s in the day and high 60s at night
Humidity has been around 40% throughout flower

So another thing is I got a HPS bulb from a friend, do you think this could help fatten them up a bit if I switched it over these last two weeks?

Sorry pics are phone pics.

Both Lucas formula and the soil type are great. You should look into brewing your own tea, it'll allow your plants to absorb more nutes/water. Also stop your rot problem. The last week before the harvest day you should flush, you'll get more of a natural taste in your buds that it should give off. If you don't flush you will notice you get more of a chemical taste, also it won't taste like what the strain normally would. To compensate for the yellowing with Lucas Formula I throw in about 2-4 ml of grow per gallon and 1x per week use cal mag. I've gotten the lucas formula down pretty good.

So I should go pick up a bottle of grow and cal mag each and supp that into my feeding for a week then flush em? And I don't need to worry about soil pH levels of 6.1-6.3?

IMO the ph is fine I used to run mine between 6.0 n 6.5 but hydro I run 5.8-6.1. But be carefully when you add the two, don't wanna burn out your plants right before flush then harvest lol. Somewhere on my thread you can read about the tea I'm talkin about too. It's honestly a miracle worker,

Is that during the entire flowering period as well?
Right now I am working on a Hindu Kush room. Using Lucas Formula only..

Should I use some molasses every watering?

I would also clarify that if your medium is purlely Sunshine mix, you are running a soilless grow, and should have your ph in the hydro-friendly range of 5.8-6.1. If anything, your ph is too high, but it's probably fine if your nutes go in at the right ph.

Regarding the Cal-Mag, just remember less is more. You didn't mention if you use RO water or not. If your water is from the tap, you likely have plenty of magnesium salt in there already. Coco has issues with magnesium, but Sunshine Mix has much less of an issue.

Nice looking SCROG grow, btw. You have most of the environmental variables tight.

One other thing.... with soilless, you do want to flush the soil thoroughly at least every three weeks, otherwise evil salts start to build up. In addition, you should be allowing for significant run-off with each feding (at least 25% of the water flowing through), to keep the medium clear.

Okay everyone when my lights go out I will post new pics tonight. I just bought a 60-100x scope from Radioshack and now I'm scared. It appears to me that some of the trichomes are turning amber already, however it also appears that there are new trichomes forming still, if thats what headless trichomes are. I didn't really want any amber trichomes as this is a very indica strain already. And I did not know that this was technically a soil-less medium, the guy at the store didn't really explain that well. I haven't flushed once since the beginning, but I flushed on Friday and am still waiting for the medium to go dry again. The bud is still pretty airy, but the amber trichomes have me worried.... So next watering I guess I will go for 6.0 pH

Took two more samples from each plant to analyze the trichomes and none of them had turned to amber... I guess it was just that one leaf... the plants are still yellowing though after trying to change nutes and then ultimately flushing, should I flush again?

Mmmmmm are u sure its.yellowing coz of nutes and not coz the age of the flower?? Had a big bud that around week 6 started.to yellow SOME leaves... by the end of flowering i got a loot of.yellowing and drying leaves some plants lose and dry leaves.by the end.of.its cycle

Well I flushed them like I said which made them better for a bit, then I did a small feed with some hydrogen peroxide added, then I watered them again yesterday with some florakleen. Today they seemed to be doing a lot better. They were at least putting off a lot more pungent of a smell. But, it looks as though I am not going to be able to give them the time they need as I am going to have to chop them Tuesday. The apartment that I am living in decided its time to do renovations, well I guess at least I got to get them this far along.
