Did you ever top them or prunned them.
Mine are almost a month safe to say!!
And they are noteven 1ft tall I did top and pruned my biggest one is 10" haven't messed with her at all.
But i do keep the lights about 8" away from the plants :)

I just let them do what they were pre-programmed to do. In previous grows I messed with the plants and on this one I decided to just leave them alone and let them do what they already know how to do. I keep my light about 20 inches from my plants so I don't dry the tops out. In my limited experience I have found that less is more when it comes to growing. I prefer quality over quantity, I would like to achive both but I am not there yet.
My plants stayed under the seed starting dome until they were about 6" tall and then they were put under the MH bulb 20hrs a day for a month or so.
I am starting to think these may be closer to done than I thought. If anyone one out there has an opinion on if their ready I would like to hear it.
I had to put my 35x loupe over my cameras lens to get the close ups.

They look great :). I would guess they have another week, two at the max. That's just my guess though. Lovely plants! I relate to you 100% on wanting quality over quantity...trying to learn to balance the two myself.

Thanks for the compliments Doogey420 and Lady.J. I think I would agree that they have a week or two left. When should I start flushing the soil and should I use just water or a flushing agent like "Clear" to flush them?

I here 10-14 days but that is for hydro. I would start your flush now. I am not sure about "Clear" as I am new to all this stuff.

Sorry must have missed it if you already mentioned it...but are you using chemical nutes or organic? If organic, you don't need to flush. If using chems, some people flush 1-2 weeks from harvest. I know some people like to use agents, but others use plain water and claim that there isn't an effect in taste. I grow organic personally :-P

Sounds good I'm limited to 5ft high... the highest my plants can go are probably 31/2 max 4ft tall...
I have bad news a shoe fell on my lst plant lost a branch and a couple leafs hopefully it survives :(

So the 2 plants i had outside dog ate them he is grounded now I'm gonna start another 2 maybe 3 do u suggest I start them indoor for 2wks or just let them grow outdoor from seedling?

I would start them inside just so you have a controlled atmosphere. I also would get some kind of cage to put around the plants once you have transplanted them outside to keep the dog away from them. Chicken wire would work.

Well I finally know which is the Northern Light Auto now. Yesterday when checking on the ladies I saw white hairs so this is her! I put her in my flower tent under my 400 hps 18/6. I feel like she will do better under the hps at this point. Here are some pics. Guess I will have to put pics up at a later time as the pictcture uploader is not working. Hope your plant is ok Mr.Lightgreen!

Nice man let the process start :)
And yea plant is ok thanks.
All my plants are beautiful. But I've been thinking a lot about that 24/0 against the 18/6.
And I have notice that my plants actually grow during lights off...I have my lights off for 6hrs and when they turn back on I sware you can see the diffrence in growth.
That's just my opinion.
Just try to put that out thier for any people who have doubts about 24/0 and 18/6

would a 125w cfl blue spectrum be ok for germination for 3 plnts say a 24hr light for 4days then 18hr for a week , then switch to 400w hps for veggin for 3 weeks mayb 4? will this work okay?

Hey everyone. I've read lots of good info on here over the past little bit and thought I'd post. I'm new to the site and my first post as well as first grow. 6ft tall, 4ft wide, 3 ft deep grow box. 400w MH/ HPS. Starting with MH, then HPS for flower. Using Pro-Mix for growing medium. Seeds took about 2 days to germ, sprouted in 2 as well. I started them in these eco friendly coconut husks with some top soil i grabbed from the local nursery. Bad idea, too much clay in the soil and the roots were suffocating. As well, initially I didn't have proper ventilation in the box so my one plant burned a bit but there are all looking healthy now, after I transferred them to different pots and soil. Using Brita water that is then distilled and checked with Ph kit and readings are 6 PH. Day temps are 82F night temps are 76F The run off is about 4.5 Also using Prop-O-Gator root booster for the first two weeks, actually just did the second feeding of it and then watering about every two days with a light mist in between watering periods. Next week I will start a 1/4 strength nute feed every 2 days for 3 feedings, and upping the ratio of nutes/water every week until full strength doses can be applied. I've read these babies flower early and not to switch to flowering light cycles or flowering nutes. So I will wait till week 6 or 6.5-7 then I will switch to flowering nutes and a flowering light cycle. Anyways I haven't really seen much on this strain so I thought I'd throw some pictures up.

These pictures are 1 week and 5 days from sprout.

Let me know if you've grown this before, or any tips for me/advice. Also if my feeding schedule should be a little different suggestions will be helpful. Happy growing!

I am very new to this. I have 15 babies in my stand-in shower in my additional bathroom in the garage. Everyone germinated and has 4 leafs but I need more light. I am new as I said, how can I purchase a Metal Halide bulb and use it? I didn't know this, but I have to have a ballast if I want to use 400 watt Sylvania lights?? Why would it have a normal lightbulb screw if it could explode under normal voltage. ACK!!! I cancelled my order for now, but there is no way I can blow $100 on a ballast. Do they sell reflective domes with built in ballast? Or maybe suggest a better way? Thanks.

hey the light in my picture above your post. is a 400W MH that also came with a HPS and a ballast AND a reflector AND stuff the hang it with....all for 170$ on ebay with 20 bucks shipping.

Mine are looking more like morning glory vines which is telling me they're not getting enough and with temps reaching 94 daily I am not comfortable putting them outside for any length of time. I got them setup nicely and I have an Ipod with only classical music playing softly.

I sure do not have $170 for a ballast. I looked on the reflector dome I am using now, it is good for up to 300 watts. Surely they have domes for more.

I totally know what you mean. I run mine 18/6 and have seen .5 to 1 inch growth during lights out. So I am keeping this the same. I am wondering about nutes now. Should I give more bloom nutes at this point? Shes just showing her pistols. I wonder if I should increase the bloom and keep the grow and micro the same. As Ever, Doogey420

yea man that will be ok..but your plant intensity will be week for all 3 plants. each plant will want to hog as much light as possible.i would put atleast 3 of those in thier but since its only for 4 days its kool. 24hr. personally as u see my last post i would just go for 18/6 as you can see me and doogey420 have had the same experience in growth during lights off. your plants need to rest dude.. but other then that everything is ok to grow. now go ahead and start those babies!![/QUOTE]
