us electrical code is a max of 1000 watts per circuit.

that equates to about 10 amps, with 5 amps left for saftey.
15 amp household circuit

a commercial circuit can go 20 amps so your safe with about 1500 watts per circuit.

Most US codes say that 15 amp circuits are lighting use. And 20 amp circuits are appliance use.

I am on sat internet.

must need realighned again.
I chase sparks, and this little point right here is hard to explain and understand. Where I live, for instance, you can have 7 lights or recepticles on a 15 amp circuit. But, a 20 amp circuit is only allowed 5 recepticles because it is used for appliances.

So the kitchen has:
2 20 amp appliance circuits
1 15 amp light circuit
1 220v 30-50 amp range circuit
1 15-20 dedicated refridge circuit
1 20 amp circuit shared by the dishwasher and garbage disposer

OK, so that is more than you REALLY wanted to know. C-ya.
