432chip True Northern Lighting 4x4 tent day 1 - 60 flower

Well it looks like that picture is not going to work.

Welcome to my the grow journal. This was created to test the performance of the True Northern Lighting 432 chip fixture. The specs are as follows.

Type: Flower cycle 12/12
Days: 1-60
Plant count: 13
Strains: 1 Amherst Sour diesel
1 Mango Saphire
2 pure sativas (costa rica landrace)
1 Blueberry Kush
8 Pineapple Express
Container: 32oz Foam cup with cuts in bottom for drain
Medium: Coco flock and top half inch cover with hydroton
Vegged for: 32 days from first roots out on clone
Watering Method: Flood and Drain (recycle)
Water: RO
Nutrients: General hydroponics 3 part + cal-mg + silica
Flood Table: 3x3 High Tide DuraPlastics
Tent: 4x4 Virtual sun
Reservoir: 100gal tub 3/4 to 1/2 full or 75-50gal
Water change: at 4weeks
Hvac: 300cfm extraction fan and a 12" oscillating fan
Light: 432C from True Northern Lighting

We are running a sterile res and using a small pump to circulate and clean water like in a pool. This we find to have much less waste. You top up with fresh RO water when levels start to drop as you do this your ppm goes down. Add nutes to bring your ppm back to where you would like to keep it every 3-4 days. I never ph my water the nutrients balance out at about 5.8

All plants were defoliated of large fan leaves and had the bottoms cleaned up before the 1st day of flower

Data for the updates will include

Day #
ppm level
res temp
canopy temp
light hanging height from canapoy
Current watering schedule
picture

Some strains may finish at different times so some may be removed earlier. This fixture pulls around 200W. We will be testing our g/w output of this light. The chips are full spectrum 3500k. Both wet and dry plant material will be calculated

The Plants should be done stretching and the light will stay at this height for the remainder of the grow. Nutrients added were General Hydroponics 3 part. Will be increasing Nutrients until around day 40.

that is certainly impressive 200 total watts in a 4x4....
@northrengrows did you complete this journal and just decide not too post it here.....?
I am gonna purchase a 238w panel from TNL......a good ole Canadian boy

I would be interested in seeing, hearing or both about how this turned out

I got the 238 watt panel in 4k. I like the panel but there are nicer fixtures. For the price though you have to build it yourself to do better.
300 CDN (225USD) for 238 watts of strips in a plate fixture mounted. In quantum board that would cost 475 CDN (350 USD) plus > shipping costs (350 USD from growers plus 50USD shipping)

Pretty good value. Nice adjustability with the rubber plugs and a jeweler screwdriver.

I am vegging plants with my 4k board at 50 watts currently. I will dial it up as they grow.
