with all the Y's, extenders and adapters, i had 13 bulbs but the plant grew up into the lights, LoL. so i took 3 bulbs out and rearranged them and finished with 10 bulbs, 9 23 watt 2700k and 1 27 watt 6500k.

Btw, my harvest went from 190 grams at chop to 54 grams the next day!! I think it means my humidity was too low, but for me
it was a trade off to avoid powdery mildew. Anyway just to chip in that drying sometimes happens fast and if it's dry it's dry, put her in jars, don't let it overdry, I'm sure you know this.

i know, theres still an oz or so left on there, LoL, it sure does shrink down fast, its in the jars now. thanks bro!! i need to pick the shit but im feeling a little lazy, maybe later tonight.

well heres grassy at day 122 and still kickin. theres still a good amount of smaller buds left, i just need to get unlazy and pick and trim the shit, LoL. the other stuff has dried out very fast. about an oz and a half are gone already, everybody loves this stuff, LoL. i would say i got a good 3 oz's of the big buds, still very good for 1 plant in a cardboard box. heres some pics of her and the fruit she has given me curing in the jars.

not sure whats next, maybe the autos if i order them, when i do cut the rest of the buds from her, im not sure if i want to reveg or not, i mean i guess i could for now since i'll have nothing else growing and keep this thread alive, LoL. thanks again to everyone that has followed along and enjoyed the the cardboard box man's grow!!]

now its time to smoke a bowl and listen to some killer concord dawn drum n bass!!

very nice cd!!! those jars look mighty tempting! 1.5 oz already gone, what??? anyway, you've done an awesome job with this grow, and thanks for the uhaul box idea and all the other great tips throughout, trueair, light extensions, etc etc etc. :clap:

yes, in the veg box, it was almost krispy so in to the jars it went where it gets moist again, im opening them right now to air them out again. its a back and forth battle, LoL.

thats loco in the cabaza man! i just got mine in jar yesterday,but it felt to moist today so i opened jar for cupl hrs now resealed.im not real good with curing.my chernobyl doing great tho!smells back when i open container. ggod job cd!

it is a 3 gallon nursery pot from home depot, like $3 and change.

from what ive read, the single bigger bulbs put out more heat than the same wattage of smaller bulbs??? and then there the lumens thing with them.

no, the setup i have works very well and im real happy with what i have. i can grow 1 big plant, 2 medium plants, or maybe the 3 or 4 autos i want to do next.

Dude i wasn't trying to have a pissing contest, just was refering to the 42w compared to the 23w

CD used 10 X 23w = 230w
where as this other guy used 3 X 42w = 126w
not to mention theres more factors to take into account
pot size, strains, veg time, nute, type of cfl......

There's too many factors to really compare. I personally have had the same speculation as CD that the lower wattage bulbs seem to put out a lot less heat and their lumens have been proven to stack more effectively per watt than higher watt CFL's. I would be very interested to see a 1 OZ yield per plant with only 1 42w CFL bulb per plant as well because I don't even see how a single 42W CFL would be able to penetrate anything if the plant got big enough to yield an ounce. It just doesn't seem like the one bulb would be enough because the plant would have way too much surface area for that single CFL to cover.

man, i would love to do that, but not that many in the box, LoL. ive watched some of the auto grows to see what strain works the best and ive narrowed it down to 2, Blue Himalaya and Buddha Syrup from herbies

its all good guys. as i said, ive fine tuned my setup for over a year now and it all works great, im always open to new ideas. i have enough invested in all the bulbs and adapters and extenions now and what i have in mind should work great with 3 or 4 autos.

like i said, from the last 2 havests, 2 plants, a little over 4 oz's and now 1 plant right at 4 oz's. cant beat that!!

its day 123 for grassy and i still havent cut the rest yet, maybe tomorrow, LoL. but she still looks great.

i tried to get some jungle growth yesterday and my lowes doesnt carry it. had to go with mg or 20 a bag at the hydro shop.

the blue himalaya sounds great good yeild for such a small one. i am partial to blue berry anyway. and the buddha syrup sounds interesting. never really chewed my smoke before lol. sounds good . i like the idea of 8 to 10 from seed., if ya get it goin ill be watchin cd
