Whats up guys,

Doing my first grow in a 4x4x8 tent. Hoping to get some advice to help me become an awesome grower and get amazing plants. Thanks for looking. I went to Europe a couple years ago and got some Fem SAD Auto seeds but wasn't able to grow them for a while so i threw them in a big and unfortunately i ended up throwing other seeds in that bag as well. I picked 3 seeds and germinated them but they all ended up being female, not sure if thats a coincidence or not. So right now I dont know what type of plants i have if they are reg or autos, hoping someone can give me some advice with that as well. Im using coco with perlite, 600w air-cooled light with carbon filter and exhaust fan outside and also a exhaust blowing air in on the bottom. Have a clip on fan in there and a floor fan. I germinated the seeds oct.8 with the paper towel method for about 3 days. I planted two of the seeds on oct. 11th with 24 hour light using 3 65w CFLs. I planted a third seed on the 12th, that took a little while longer to break through. As this being my first grow i put them straight into my 7 gallon containers filled with about 5 gallons of soil not realizing how dumb that was. I changed the light cycle to 18/6 on the 19th. My watering has been spread throughout different amount of days, like i water it then water it again 3 days, then again 6 days, then 8 days. When i water them i put them in my bath tub and water until it runs out the bottom then i let them sit there for a little bit before putting them back. I pH my water between 5.5-6.5 usually around 5.8 though. Im using the general hydroponics lineup of nutes: base nutes, calimagic, and i have armorSI, florablend, and koolbloom on the way. So far Ive used micro, bloom, gro and calimagic. Ive topped a few spots on one of the plants just to see what would happen, also topped the other two plants once. I think i have them LSTing correctly but i am not sure. I also cut some of the top fan leaves to give light and energy to the lower level.

Here are some pics from seedling to what they are now. Also a few pics of the set-up, let me know what you guys think!

help with where to top or fim or lst next would be awesome thanks

They are plenty big to be topped, what i generally do is top them earlier in a spot that will give you 4 good branches off the main stalk that are not the first or second node from the bottom. So like the 6th node.. From there clear the bottom 2 branches and pull down (LST) the tallest branch or 2 until the others catch up and just continue keeping the 4 branches even.

Since it looks like you plants are pretty big and u have plenty of space id recommend u probably keep 6 branches. Pinching right under the top node is also a good option since you have so much space, this will maintain the top growth and tell the plant to focus on lower branches.

Also they look like they need Nitrogen, unless its just the HPS making them look pale

To me it looks like a MH bulb, but your still in veg so that's fine I would center your light in your tent and veg for another 2 or 3 weeks. Switch to hps light and flower away!

Ive topped them a few times. One plant i did a couple different spots and then on the other two plants ive only topped once. What do you mean when you say to keep 6 branches? I am using a MH bulb. like im confused when to start saying its in veg...what day or week would you guys say in veg it is? I dont know when to tell it apart from when it stops being a seedling to when it starts the veg stage. also for my next lsting, do i wait for a bit until it gets taller then do it again? or can i do it now? Thanks for the replies guys

Here is what they look like now....still not quite sure on what week they are in...hopefully someone can chime in with a that.....Also wondering if i can start removing any lower branches/leaves? if so how much of them can i remove? I built a scrog trellis but not quite sure on how i am going to water the plants..........can i put my plants on the floor and leave my light where its at, and plants still get enough light? I just cant bring my light down anymore...

Thanks guys

Dude if you have auto's don't chop or pinch anything. they have short lives and every time you cause trauma you stunt them. if you have a hps bulb I would use it at this point.
And just keep up with lst.

Very nice! It could probably use a good feeding, though, bro. It's praying, so it's happy, but you really should give it food. She's damn near chlorotic.

Thats the thing...Im not sure if they're autos or not....I unfortunately mixed some bag seeds with some fem auto seeds and the 3 i picked out just so happen to be female, so not sure..... I topped and fimmed earlier, I havent done anything recently...Ill look at my run off next time i feed, what range should i be looking for? you think its time to switch to flower?

What do you mean its praying? I feed it almost every time i water it. the lights i think make it look like that, the plants are nice and green.

EDIT: What do you guys think about the size of the plant? I thought it was small but i know its suppose to double in size in flower but just thought it was short...

1. Range in hydro is optimally 5.8-6.2, soil is 5.8-6.8. Organics, pH is pretty much near irrelevant

2. I'll circle it in the picture for you. It's when the leaves kind of reach upward like they're praising the sun. You probably feed her a bit too light. She's pretty pale.

3.She's a great size. Good job.

Looks like it needs a bit more nitrogen at the least. Doesn't seem to have any magnesium problems or the veins would be green and the leaves themselves would be yellow. I'd say slightly more of everything, or just up the nitrogen to see if that changes anything first. Your leaves are just really pale and that leads me to believe pretty strongly they are underfed. Nitrogen should cause the leaves to darken, and if it shows anything else afterwards, we'll know it needs more of something else.

I'd start by experimenting and giving a bit more nitrogen.

Do you have a master schedule for your nutrient system? That should tell you what you should be feeding at this age.

The thing with coco is it holds no nutrients within so you have to pre charge the coco before starting and feed pretty much from day 1. I have never had an issue with coco and I have been growing in it for about 1 year now, your plants look pretty health other than lacking a little N like people have said.

You said your not sure if they are auto or not, can you remeber how old they are at around 30 days or so autos will show signs of flower.

If they are close or are around 30 days and havnt showed aigns of flower I'd say top her twice with around 4-7 days recovery between each topping.

If they have started to flower do not top them you really shouldn't top autos at all because you have such little time for the plant to recover.

Hope this helps.

Ill start off with upping the nitrogen. Can you guys tell me which one would be the product that would add the most nitrogen? I dont have a master schedule, I dont know what that even is lol...like i said i got those nutrients and additives from watching some youtube videos. what exactly is a master schedule?

When i mixed the coco up I used ph'ed water and also added calmagic.

I started germinating the seeds oct 8th and planted them in the coco on oct 11 so its been just over 40 days. Im not sure what a flowering plants looks like so i included some close up pics.

No problems, she doesn't look like she's in flower yet but you'll see better closer to the stem like this picture.

The white hairs are what you look for to spot a female.

As for nutrients I cant really help if you want ro brew your own because I use the Dyna-Gro line but I couldon't recommend it more it's a outstanding product.

Easiest way to tell is to keep running them with 18hrs of light til one shows preflowers. If you get nothing for two months. You've probably got phenos. Anything that flowers in 18 hour light has to be auto. Because they don't have a light schedule like phenos do.

Photos, not phenos. Phenos are a derivative of an original parent that shows propensity for a specific genetic expression from one of the parents. These occur in any strain that isn't fully stabilized, or from S1 seeds.
