4'x4'x8' and 2'x4'x7' helpp

i have 2 400 watt hps and i want to do a sog with these two closets....how many plants? pot size? yield?

id veg in one flower in the other. flower like 2 plants in the smaller one and either veg 4 in the other closet or have some clones in there

or

if you just wanted to GROW in both id say you could get square pots that are like 10 in or so(less than a foot so your plants have a little room to grow out) id say you could get 10-16 plants in the big one and like 6-8 in the other

which one you think is better for yield and so...this will be my first real inside op

personally if i had 2 closets to work with id have a perpetual grow going where i had alot of new plants (and later clones) in the big closet and then flowering ladies in the smaller one. a few reasons to do this; you can flower a few small plants while the rest get bigger, you could have weed curing females flowering and more plants growing, and you can have as many plants at once as you can fit

get a 600 watt hps for the 4'x4'... it'll cover all of the plants properly for its lumens, whereas the 400watt won't be able to cover everything. Perhaps hold onto both 400 watts (if they're switchable) use them both as Metal Halides, and put one in the flower room. You'll need to air cool the lights which could be a problem, but having 1,000watts covering a full spectrum will give you amazing buds.

I can pack in 16 of the 3 gallon square pots, or 25-30 of the 2 gallon pots. That's enough for me!

how big do you let yours get?

My box is 6 feet tall... and I'm honestly on my first legit harvest (I have a grow journal going on here), but a bagseed plant and a white widow plant are about 2-4 weeks from being done and they are about 3 feet tall. It depends how you hang your light. I keep mine hung at about 4 feet since I'm doing a sea of green concept, with different-aged plants flowering.

I don't expect my plants to grow much more in height, so to answer your question my indicas are staying around 3 feet. I have chemdawg and sour D going and those are 2 weeks into flowering and almost bigger than my plants 8 weeks into flowering! Depends what you grow.
