Hey guys, 1st time posting here but i'll get right into it. This is my second grow from seed ( 1st being auto's "Think Different" ) and this grow is some random seeds a buddy gave me labeled 4x White Widow x Skunk#1 and 6 labeled "Chocolopez"

4x8 gorilla grow tent
2x 330 W Advanced LED full spectrum 10W
temps range from 65 - 84 ( having trouble keeping night / day within 10 degrees of each other )
mix of happy frog / ocean forrest / sand / perlite
Using California well water testing at about 6.8 untouched. Always drop if back a little when mixing nutes but water is def. harder than I'd like it to be. ( worried about possible buildups in the soil )

Germed under t5's planted into 7 gal buckets

plants showed purpling in stems early on and eventually grew out of it although veg grow did seem rather slow.
Started using organic nutes pretty late at 1/4 strength ( root stim + grow ) around 2 weeks

Plants started doing much better and we raised the lights. Because of the stunted growth we decided to veg for quite a while. ( about 3 months )

Flushed 2 weeks ago when we were contemplating switching to 12 - 12

Started light flowering nutes along with more frequent waterings ( they started drinking a good amount in the last few days ) they are getting about 1 gallon each every 2 days. sometimes just water because i have been seeking some advice.

PROBLEM : purpling of some stems with a darker green leaf color - phosphorus deficiency due to mineral buildup in soil? Or PH issue causing lockout ( frustrated w/ soil and the whole guessing game that comes w/ it ) Other larger plant shown in picture pre flowering seems to be turnin a very light green almost yellowish that has made me a little nervous. Nitrogen issue? Over / Under - feeding?

Took some pics while they were awake and sleeping. Again there are 2-3 dif strains and some of the issues seem worse on certain plants but they are all receiving the same treatment and all share some of the same issues ( sorry if it gets confusing )

Also beginning to think that the one posted above is a male despite the package being labeled feminized -_-.

I see some N hooking ( leaf tips curved )
But nothing the plant won't use soon enough.
It may be a little too cool at night ( hence the red ) Or another cause is over watering.
And another is P K deficiency. ( also causes purpling )
But most importantly ..smoke grown under LED is weird about Cal / Mag and you have the start of a deficiency.
I grow using LED and always have to supplement Cal / Mag, where as under HID I hardly ever did.

But I would check if over watered ( LED plants use less water I've found ) or soggy, drainage flow wtc and night time temps.
And add start adding more Cal / Mag.

Finally sometimes no matter what you do, leaves under LED are just plain weird in color. ( Even in full daylight ) I grow a SweetTooth with olive green leaf under LED. Looks like GI issue.

It's probably just a Cal / Mag issue

Tyvm for the reply, i will add more cal mag in next few feedings. I pulled a male out of the tent today... the only 1 of 8 total. Took it out and checked the roots ( pics below )

I use 100% perlite hempy and use 5ml of calmag per gallon with led lighting. Not sure what to use for soil but you will definitely have to add from what I have seen/read.

I was going to say that, looks like they have sacs. As for the sickly one, not sure with out details about your grow.

They are all showing some signs of purple / red stems ... some more than others. New growth seems rather unresponsive and limp at times.

2 weeks into 12-12...

Soil - 7 gal buckets w/ ocean forrest fox farm - sand - perlite
Feeding regiment - General Organics / bio root / grow / sea weed / flower / cal-mag all 1/4 strength
Water - CA well ... pretty hard. comes out of hose at about 6.5 - 7 ph
Lights - 2 x 330 w LED
Tent - 4x8

I'm sorry I forgot they had the full spectrum led lights, I'm out of the loop. Didn't even know they made those until a couple months ago. Have you bloomed under them before? And what was your results? But in my opinion you need to ph down your water to about 6. But I have never grown in that. I only use canna coco. But I thought 5.5 to 6.2 ph is in all the books I have.

By the way what did you yield off your think different and how did you like it? That's what I grow.
was my 1st grow ( same setup ) , pulled 11 oz ( dry ) off of 10 plants. Had run into some issues earlier on that i think hurt overall yield and quality but i still really enjoyed the smoke. Would def. grow again if the seeds weren't so damn expensive.

I am very new to this but seem to run into the same issues that i cant seem to correct, extremely frustrating. Thinking about switching to a hydro setup.

Duh? You're a new member to boot and u just know now that led's are full spectrum? Secondly don't give crappy advice where you don't know what you're talking about. Why would you tell someone who is growing in soil to pH to 6?
