Hello. How many 10 gallon pots would you put into a 4x8 tent with 2-3 600w HPS? Or would a dwc be a better option for a tent like this? Thank you all in advance.

I have an open room but under 2 600's I keep 4 plants per light in 3 gallon buckets and try to limit plant height to 30".

Those are air cooled Blockbuster 6 reflectors with 4 plants each under them ducted in line.

The lamp on the right is a 315 LEC.

I learned my style in a 4x4 tent and just scaled up to the new room. I have since added the 3rd lamp but maybe you can visualize for your space. Hope it helps.

A single 600 watt HPS/MH lamp will do a 4 x 4 very effectively. Frankly, I'd use only two lamps and a total of 8 plants in 5 gallon pots. They'll have plenty of room to grow and breath, and you'll get huge yields if done properly.

3 600's is perfect for a 4x8. That was my old set up before I saved and moved on to COB lighting.

I started with 2 600's and added the third one after a few harvests and it was night and day difference.

I run 17 3.5 gal pots in a flood and drain system scrog. That way I cut down my veg time. Fwiw

15" is my baseline in veg before I bend and start training in there. I have a higher plant count now so I don't have to time my plants on 8 week cycles and have branched out.

If they are only like 5 or 6 weeks and have shown maturity I used to put them right in and bend if neccesary.

The Thai leaning plants need training and don't follow the rules. Lol.

And I have noticed the mature a plant is before flower (seed plant) the better the flowers for the most part. So I have been vegging longer and holding plants in line waiting.
