5.0 ph soil ? dig hole

the ph of the soil in my area is 5.0 if i dig a 1 foot x 1 x 1 hole and add a good potting soil mix will the plant do well even if the roots enter the 5.0ph soil?

Probably not. First, the growth will be severely stunted since it suddenly hit 5.0 PH then you'll start to see the change of colors on your leaves, dig a really deep whole that will suit your plant's entire growth.

Well maybe it's possible that the nutrients could spread out into the 5.0 soil and possibly neutralize the 5.0 up a little more to maybe a 6.x but only god knows.
