Thanks for that advice jEthereal. I'm planning on purchasing some Big Bud seeds since I've heard it is a very easy plant to grow with a high yield. Next time I can try your method and see how it turns out. And since I'm already here I might as well give yall and update on how they look as of now.

My growing space is about 3'6"x4' and I have a lot of vertical room. I have them all packed together pretty tightly as you can see in the picture below. I'm hoping I get an oz per plant as well.
Your grow area is a lot like mine, I will be watching because I want to have as much success as you did :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I have learned a lot from my first grow that I did which looking back was pretty pathetic haha. I grew from shwag seeds using CFLs. I had a grow journal on another forum yall can look it up if you're curious. Harvested 5-13-07 :: Marijuana Weed Forums Always 420 Forum

Anyways, yesterday I fed them with 2tsp of Grow big and Tiger bloom and I can already notice a boost in growth. All the buds are beginning to get frosty.

Nice buds man. You're doing fine.

Do you have a TDS meter? If you know exactly how much nutes (in PPM) you're feeding your plants, you can water every other feeding. That's usually what I would do.

You're beginning (what I feel is) the most crucial stage of plant growth. Week 3-4 of bud development is crucial to form the 'base' that your buds have to grow on. I have no way of backing this statement, it's just how I feel based on my experience.

Seriously though I bet you can pull 2-3oz off of some of those thicker plants. It'll be interesting to watch this one go.

On my own note, I'm happy to say I got two of my BubbleJack clones in the ground and they are taking off with no transplant stress at all. My Grapefruit plants are coming around after having a SEVERE magnesium deficiency. Oh, the problems you run into when you have a n00b helping you. :)

Live and learn,

jE

No I don't have a TDS meter. Wow the thought of possibly having 280grams is making my mouth water . I've never had that much weed at one time. I guess it's time I purchase a new bong to help me go through this. :blsmoke:

I think that having a TDS meter and PH meter are the two most important items in a grower's toolbox.

Well, besides your favorite pipe, that is!

hehe.

I am at 29 days flowering now and would like some opinions. How are the buds doing right now? Will they be fattening up a lot more by harvest? Some of these strains are budding alot more than others.

hang the one 400 watt hps light in the middle of the grow area about a two feet up from the ground the sharp end of the bulb pointing south. put each plant in a circle around the one 400 watt hps light. This is the best way to get light penetration and fat nugs from the ground to tops of the plant. Vertical grow is the future.

I disagree. Fox Farm nutes are organic! Earthworm castings, Norwegian kelp, bat dodo, all that good stuff. That don't sound chemical to me.

As to question from enjoikr3w, NO no nutes after flush. Flush should be with room temp water and 2 to 3 times the volume of the soil. Blow the bad stuff out, let her recoup (although I don't think you need to) and then start nutes again. From what I understand, it ain't a bad idea to flush every month.

I doubt you have an overfert problem (I should know, I had one DUH). As for the yellowing of the lower leaves, that's normal. They are really nice ladies. I'd stay the course and do as you are doing.

If you really think your underfeeding, kick up the nutes a tad and watch the girls. They will let you know.
To my knowledge grow big and tigerbloom are bose NON organic, while big bloom is organic. FF does have a lot of organic stuff (peace of mind and such) along with their soils. Open sesame, beastie budz, and cha ching aren't organic either I think, not sure about them though. Even if they're not organic they're gonna have some organic substances in them probably though.
