to get 5 pounds indoors your going to need to plant in 5 gal buckets. use foxfarms ocean forest or roots organics soil. you need about 40-50 plants. you need 5x 1000 watt lights. as far as space needed you need a whole room. there ya go.

I love people coming on here with no experience wanted to grow LBS and LBS with a single grow.

Do some research honestly, your not gonna get 5lbs in one harvest unless you got hella plants and hella experience
what this guy said. ive been growing for 2 years and i wouldnt attempt that. i know i would fail miserably. get a few grows under your belt, learn the ropes before u do this. its impossible to learn all about how to grow good and healthy plants in a few weeks. it takes years of reading page after page of material and growing experience to do something like that

unless u just threw a shit load of seeds outside somewhere and it just so happened to be a primo location. letting nature do it for u

^^^^this guy is pretty spot on except i dont know why he added the ffof nonsense.
i said ffof also because roots orgainics isent avalible in all states and hydro stores =)
id like to here a reply from the OP if he can even afford the setup needed to grow this much. if he doesent have all the gear i listed some of that stuff is costly. also the fans needed, odor control, all the common stuff needed for every grow like nutes etc. its really a high cost thing to get that much weight if your starting from ground zero

everyone likes what they like, but it is hard to find people who take the time to experiment with different strains and seeds, conditions and everything... rzza, "growing" likes ffof nonsense because it is what he/she uses... if you like roots, ffof or anything, shout it out... everyone thinks that they can strike it rich, but it takes time, effort and experimentation to yield big... myself, i just like good taste, good yield and sustainable... nothing crazy, nothing too over the top... just a little bit so i can make it through the days and nights...

I actually used to work for a fertilizer company, and made sure to stock up on fertilizer with my 5-finger discount before I left. I have that down pat, I now work in a shop on a farm, we have plenty of High powered lights, I would not me suprised to find hps or mh lights, I have about 50 seeds also. And I have a bunch of mylar and a secluded area to grow in. I just need to know the type of lights now, and if It will be possible with only 40 ish plants.

You'll need as much as the medical producers in my state heheh and about as much experience.

Seriously, not being a smartass but you're in for a big surprise. Your start up cost will easily be in the thousands of dollars, that's if you actually find the space and privacy you'll need. For 80 zips, I'd guess 30-50 plants.

You can produce 1 pound with a 600 watt bulb pretty easily. So 5 lights will work or 6 lights just for some wiggle room. I'd suggest ebb and flow to cut down your daily work and some reputable nutes for yield and quality. Each light will need an area of about 4'x4' and depending on your conditions, an air conditioner and/or a dehumidifier will be needed. Inline fans and some ducting from your lights will cut down on heat and don't forget a charcoal filter.

Five pounds is quite easy with the right equip and experience. I do it every 30 days. BUT, I have 20 grand invested and have been farming for 45 years.
The amount of plants can be anything from 5-200. You can use 6-600W or 4-1000W lights.
But, seriously dude, without some experience, it doesn't matter what equip or space you have. You may get lucky and get 5lb if you throw enough money at it.
So, I'll ask again. Ever grow inside before?

5 pounds is small all you need is 5 lights bulbs and ballests and a controler and a 10 in fan with 25' of duckeding and i run 16 plants per light so that would b 80 plants and a container to mix nuts i think thats it lol
maybe its a easy in humbolt . but 5 pounds is 5 pounds , it aint ez . known whats needed is one thing how to use it correctly is another . just my 2 cents . but i know Ph problems arent ez to fix in the begining. with no exp.
