50 watt Led Spotlight users input needed!

Ok guys so 4 rows of the 5 pinpoints of light from the chip in one of my spotlights are out. I have yet to take it apart to see how easy it is to replace but basically I would like to convert it to a Cree spotlight somehow. The color temperature is warm white 3000k so I know that I'm gonna have to stick to the warm white or at least the white colors. Any suggestions, ideas or thoughts appreciated. I could easily replace it with a generic chip but would rather upgrade to quality if it's even possible. Let the comments begin!

Its real easy to take apart bruv.

1) Take out the screws on the front that hold the glass and bracket
2) Take out the screws that hold the reflector

That will get you to this.
3) Snip the wires (connected to the old chip) and shave the plastic insulation to expose bare wire (ready to be soldered onto your new chip)

4) Unscrew the chip screws
5) Make sure there is adequate heat paste

6) Solder up and test to light up
7) if good, screw in screws to secure
8 ) Replace the reflector
9) Hang LED and bask in the warm glow of godliness (?) :)

Thanks man that is a really helpful little guide. No ideas on upgrading it to Cree? I'm curious if maybe I could fit 10 x 5watt Cree xpe into the space or if there is a 50w Cree chip or other high standard led companies chip. Been doing a little research and the closest thing I can find is something like this.

Thank you man, browsing from my phone so I didn't see the Cree stamp on the replacement chip. You guys are awesome, always showing me exactly what I need!
