5th week into Blue Dream Flowering, still stretching???

1st grow. Doing a DWC single plant with a Viparspectra 450W in a 2X2 tent. Water temps are regulated between 67-70 degrees. Seed planted 8/25, flipped on 10/9. Temps are around 75 for the tent.
In my 5th week of flower, she is still stretching, and the space between nodes is fairly large. I had to abandon my SCROG 2 weeks into flower due to massive stretch. Cut the bottom of my tent out and raised the whole tent for some room. Didn't help, it is developing a decent amount of buds, but is still stretching.
No light leak. Nutes appear to be good.
So, my question is, after abandoning my SCROG, at this time in the grow, should I trim up some of the undergrowth to focus energy upward? There is a bit of dead material down there, and a ton of newer growth that looks like it is sapping the top part of the plant. I know trimming is kind of taboo at this point to a lot of growers, but it looks like the plant is wasting a lot of energy.
I did a quick trim today and will see how she responds tomorrow. Any input appreciated.

I would start by removing any dead material and then move my way up. Remove leaves that are at the bottom of the canopy and leaves that might be covering bud sites. Next time just keep tucking the tops under.

Your at 1300lm/ft (24.6lm/w).

Ive ran shorts bd at 8000lm/ft and still had minor stretch, id say you need more light for that space.

She was only two weeks before flipz. That’s why she’s gone mental.

Also could be a lack of light or low night temps.

I believe having warmer nights than days inhibits vertical growth :)

It was a solid 5 weeks of veg.

I did a hard 12/12 schedule without a 36 hours of black. Next time, I think I will do an 18/6 to a 12/12.
Also topping will help immensely from every thing I read.
I thought a Viparspectra 450 was overkill for a 2X2 tent. Time to get a bigger light I guess.

Wooow. I thought I was overlighting my tiny tent. It looks like I need quite a bit more for flowering. Any suggestions for supplemental lighting for flowering? I'll keep the Vipar for grow, but this plant looks like it needs MUCH more for flowering. I'd prefer to stay with LED due to heat concerns. Thanks in advance!

So many lights to chose from.. If you need to beat the heat, you'll want efficient leds.

You may even find a 1 time solution for a 2x2 that allows you to scrap the spectra 450.

Both setups listed below put out 4-5x more light compared to the spectra 450 and still runs at the same 200W.
