Well hello all... I'm back with another grow! I'm still posting in this forum as I still don't have enough grows under my belt but here we go again.
Seeds: Dutch Passion (don't know which mix)
Tent:
2 x 4 x 5 ft
Light: 2 Viparspectra 300w (they were a gift so why not?)
Nutes: General Hydroponics...

This is the boring part, I know, but hey this is the only way I'm going to keep up with the information. Seeds popped on 1/6/17 and have been getting 5.5 ph'ed water since. This is what we have today. They are in germ box and will be moved to the tent soon

I forgot to mention that this will be a 12/12 run in 2liter hempy bottles.

Why ph your water to 5.5? I can never understand the logic behind this. I myself keep my ph at 6.0 never had any problems. I know everyone has there own preference on how they grow but doesnt a plant stop uptaking certain nutes at low of a ph? Not trying to bust balls or anything but can someone give me the pro's of having your ph at 5.5, just seems to me there is very little room for error here? Other than that they look good.

@bignugdoug it's just what I've read. Hey if 6.0 works I'll switch to that. I hope to get all the info I can. I read and done so much research and screwed up a lot. This is only my fourth run, the second and third totally sucked! Thanks by the way. All seeds from Herbies ans all 6 popped!

I think as 5.5 being the lowest you wanna go in rockwool, it leaves some buffer upwards but still keeps it in that nitogen uptake sweet spot. That was always my understanding. It's easier to go up than down for me anyways..

I completley understand, i have tried keeping mine at 5.8 but just seems like it fluctuates either up or down to much. Ever since i have kept it at 6 it seems to stay alot steadier and my plants seem to love it, i was just curious to the benefits of keeping it at 5.5. Cant wait to see these babies grow up

If you wanted to be really accurate, technically you're supposed to raise the ph slightly for each phase of growth, fine tuning where nutrients are best uptaken at each Ph point.

Ive read about it and tried it my plants just seem to do better at 6, ive tried all sorts of different ways plants really seem to like it right where it is. Never see any deficiencies or anything so ill keep her where its at till i find something that works better

Yeah I'm trying to find that sweet spot on this run with my nutes and may also try some new stuff in flowering. I'm really focused on environment and keeping track of everything.

Awesome Man! I personally am a fan of running ph of about 6.5, but its all personal preference and how your plants respond. How will you be growing these in what type of hydro or soilless set-up?

Sorry no update yesterday, got sick, but here we are today. Started with 1/4 strength nutes and switched lighting to 12/12. Once again I know this is the boring part but we all had to go through it. Here's some pics of the girls in the tent!20170115_161438.jpg 20170115_161454.jpg

Oops, should have done this yesterday but here we are today. Here are the six ladies in their home. Not much to report but one of the ladies lower leaves have rust spots. First time dealing with this so I got to check it out. Started feeding Lucas formula and they have been eating well! I guess that's about it, here are some pics20170124_083835.jpg 20170124_083826.jpg

Not sure if anyone is still watching but here we go. Nothing special but I did find out that this is Dutch Passion Color Mix #1 which consists of:
Frisian Dew®
Passion #1®
Shaman®
All are outdoor according to the description so we'll see how this goes indoor!!! As far as nutes go I said I wasn't going to use the Lucas formula but I'm lazy and I did. We are at day 21 (closest guess) and I have a question. Should I lst or let them be. By the way I did 24/0 for the first week and switched to 12/12 from there on. Enough blabbering here's the pic. Thanks for looking or not looking :hump::hump:
