600 Watt Digital Ballast is louder than usal. Problem has to be solved it too loud!

so my 600w ballast is making a little bit more noise than when i first got it.it is currently on the wall next to my bed room in the closet and i can hear it when im sleeping. ive only had it about a yer and a half and was only used for one all the way through veg and flower cycle.
But it is making too much noise for my small house. The owner will be in the house soon to work on the sink, and will hear that shit and wonder what it is. SO THE NOISE HAS TO GO!
can i put the ballast in the tent and get less noise?
can i make some kinda contraption to go around the ballast?
can i spray it out with air duster?
should i just buy a really expensive led light and trash the hid system?
buy a new ballast?

I really need to get this figured out , i would like to keep the HID system and just quite it down some sorta way really i dont wana spend a shit ton of money. Please help!! thanks!!!

You can try spraying it out. It is probably the cooling fan that is making all of the noise. It is basically a pc fan, and we all know how quickly and often they become damaged!

Depending on how handy you are with electronics, you could replace the fan or take it into a local electronics repair shop.

Another thing you could try: tap on the front of the fan with the handle of a screw driver. It will be a temporary fix (if at all) but will also tell you if it is in fact the bearings in the fan.

Yeah ...! amgprb is on it, replace fan, cjeack for any oil leaks from any of the caps, good to go ....15 minute op. tops good to go!

Just unplug it when the landlord is there.......it won't hurt the plants at all.

Fans in 600 watters are generally small and barely make any noise. So, either that's faulty or something else is going on. You can also punch a hole in the ceiling and place it up there sitting on a brick- this will also lower the noise, while lowering the heat in the room.
