Made the decision to flip to flower tomorrow, decided I would start a grow journal

Strain is DJ Short's Blueberry, picked up as clones exactly 4 weeks ago. Been vegging under a 600w MH since then. 5 gallon buckets, 50/50 mix FFOF and Happy Frog with perlite for drainage. Watering every 4 days, just gave them their first dose of Grow Big with their last watering. All of them have been topped, one 2.5 weeks ago and the others 1.5 weeks ago. Plants are between 15-18 inches in height. Enough words, here's some pics

Comments are very very welcome

First picture is the super crop job I did on one of my stems (super cropped all of them)
Second is a view of the left side of the garden
Third is the right side
Forth, fifth, and sixth are some close up shots

Yeah I was curious about those. Only the new growth is coming in like that, I'm not sure why they're doing that. Any ideas?

there is a foum here called marijuana health or plant problems or something like that. post this in there and ask them whats wrong, like you dont know, usually the upper post #'s will answer if you are seeking and not seeking affirmation. do have a link but its in my desk top that is sitting in pieces on the floor.

hey im running dj short blueberry from seed, hit my sig to follow.

I wouldnt be entirely concerned about the canyons...BB displays alot of clawinmg, canyons, mutations and more. If you are doing everything right, these signs can happen.

I do not know the details of your grow, so it would be hard to make a judgement considering the lack of information I have, as well as the knowledge and experience I have with Blueberry.

1 Week Flowering Update:
Planning on doing my updates every Tuesday as today marks my first week of flower. After a few over/underwatering issues were worked out, everything looks to be back on track. DJ Short's BB seems to be super hardy, didn't water her for a week, within 2 hours of being watered she perked right up. Sorry about the quality on the pictures, didn't have time to take them with the lights off

Snafu is right, BB has its mutants and such, most outgrow em in the flower stage tho..
Next time you grow the BB try not topping or suprcropping it, i can almost garentee youl yield more

Really? I've heard BB needs to be topped to reach full potential?

No probs ... i wont pay the money for DJs stuff anymore, its not the same as it used to be due ot the loss of his B130 male :(

Dizzle, i am very interested in hearing more information on why you wouldnt top the Blueberry?

IME, it has shown to increase yields. Ontop of that it is the breeders suggestion to.

Can you layout a more detailed explanation? You seem to speak from experience on this specific topic, so i am looking forward to what you have to say!

Sorry about missing the update guys, I was out of town last week. Plants went from Sunday night to Friday night without a watering, not showing any signs of stress or weakness. Super hardy plant. Smell is definitely starting to pick up during the dark periods, pistils are fully outstretched and they look like they'll be adding weight soon. Today marks the end of week 3 of 12/12 and the beginning of week 4. Buddy of mine who's been growing them says he usually harvests 60-65 days after flipping them.

Does anyone know if DJ Short BB has a more sativa dominant pheno? The girl in the back of the tent is 24 inches tall and quite a bit lankier whereas the rest are 18-20 and more bushy. All 6 have been topped once. Let me know what you think!

Typically its 80 indica and 20 sativa. You may have a sativa dominant stretch in the pheno in the back, which is fine.

You are looking for a predominantly indica phenotype, if youre looking for the Blueberry phenotype that so many want.

29 days of flowering and the girls are definitely starting to fatten up. Started adding molasses to their water last week (2 tablespoons/gal) and they're loving it, resin production and smell have increased quite a bit. Gonna do a mild flush by watering with a 1/2 gallon per plant instead of 1/3 gallon per plant on this next watering.
I'll have an update next week and then no updates for two weeks as I'll be out of town. For watering I'm going to use a 50 gallon res with a 180 gpm pump watering them twice a week (Monday and Thursday). I'll have a 90 gpm pump in the res itself moving things around to make sure the nutes don't settle out. I'm going to nute the res to 1/2 strength so they'll still be receiving a full dose every other watering.
