ok...this is my transported journal from NazisCure (gardenscure)...

had a great outdoor season that funded the indoor op...here's the details:

Plants
- 19 Sour Diesel Clones
- 1 G-13 Clone

Set Up Specs
- 4'11" x 4'11" x 6'7" Secret Jardin Dark Room
- 1 600W Hydrofarm Daystar AC on Yo-Yos (light stays a minimum of a foot away from the plants)
- 1 Hydrofarm Digital Timer
- 1 Hydrofarm 600W Lumatek Digital Ballast
- 1 6" x 24" Carbon Filter suspended in the top center back of the tent
- 1 Sunleaves WindTunnel 6" can fan 409CFM 70W
- 1 fan control unit
- 2 movable adjustable clip fans in opposite corners that will stay just above the canopy
- passive air intake through the adjustable lower vents of the DR150
- 1 4' x 4' tray on Cinder Blocks and 2" x 6" wood beams with a slight slant towards the center and front so excess runoff water irrigates to the front of the tray where ive secured a spigot to drain
- 1.5 Gallon Plant Containers
- 1 Ipod dock with speakers across the room running a constant random mix of the late great Bob Marley, Pato Banton, Pepper, Slightly Stoopid, Barrington Levy, Jimi Hendrix and Willie Nelson at a low level that can barely be heard from outside the room with the door closed (gotta keep the vibes good!!!)

Soil and Nutes
- Fox Farms Happy Frog Organic Soil
- No Nutes used during Veg
- Flowering with Humboldt Nutrients Master A & B

i was originally exhausting out of the tent and into the outer room, but that was causing my temps to jump into the mid-90s...switched the exhaust to vent directly outside thru a window ive boarded up and fixed a dryer vent to the outside...now i can run my fan at 1/4 full power for a constant 75F with lights on and 63-65F lights off...my humidifier stays at 45% until the last two weeks of flowering where i'll lower it to 20% to avoid mold and increase trich production...

here's some chronological pics from the past 3 weeks...i vegged for 13 days and am a week into flowering:

this is the original exhaust path before the improvement:

I think it looks great. Best set up i have seen in a while. Looks professional.

The only thing that may help ya is to take the bends out of the vent tubes if ya need more air flow. The bends really restrict it by %50

Nice setup man I wish i had some Sour D clones
I have the same darkroom
do you think you could cool a 1000w light with that tent

Very nice setup. Looks like mine. Same table and light. Just need to get my humidity down a bit. Keep the updates coming!

if you vent directly outside (either into a different room or outdoors)

you should have no problems venting a 1000W...i plan to upgrade to a 1000W in this exact set up after this grow...

thanks...i actually used the bends to further restrict airflow...without the bends, the exhaust is too good (as crazy as that sounds) and was causing me to have my fan on super low power causing humidity to build

thanks everyone...check for an update with pics tomorrow

Very nice grow... does your darkroom have any light leaks at all?
nope...i get the tiny pinholes from the zippers that youd expect, but besides the passive intake vents i leave open on the bottom, no light leaks out, and none gets in during the dark period

super happy with my buy of the DR150 and cant wait to get another to go perpetual

Looking good. I have almost the same setup but I have the DR240W version that I divided in half. I wanted to setup mine the same as yours but my Can-filter 66 seems to be to heavy to hang from the frame as yours. What are the temps like in the summer for you? I hope your can filter is supported enough so it want fall.

DUUUUUUUUDE....youre good...when i worked at cali hydroponics, the sales rep from secret jardin came by when we only sold the HydroHut (right around the time HH was having their trouble) and HomeBox and set up a DR150...

he then proceeded to hang from the top with his full weight (dude had to weigh at least 170 LBS) and hung there a good 2 minutes to show the durability...needless to say we stopped ordering HHs and HBs and strictly roll with the DRs...i'll take some close up shots of how i have the chain rigged to the DR so you can get some ideas of how to hang your filter

after this grow im gonna get an additional DR240W which will be my flowering chamber and this current set up will be where i house my mothers and veg....GOING PERPETUAL!!! harvesting 2 plants per week

pics coming soon...

Thanks for info. What size is your filter? Right now I have mine sitting outside the tent pushing air into but I'm willing to redo everything for the best ventilation. I divided the tent in half so I can have a perpetual harvest myself but it's giving me a challenge to setup every right since the pre-made holes don't allow me to vent my hood correctly without
pulling air from inside of the tent through the hood. Best of luck and keep it sticky.:blsmoke:

my filter is a 6"x24"...super overkill for my DR150, but im from the school of thought that if the tiniest faintest smell gets out, whats the point in having a filter at all...you can have your nose against the outside of my tent and you wouldnt smell shit...a 6"x24" would be the perfect size for you but i dont know how much good its doing outside the tent...needs to be positioned with your fan in the tent toward the ceiling where all your hot air is...here's how i suspend...

the big ring will support up to 700LBS and the "twist to close" chain link will support 150 LBS so theres no worries that either of them will break...white chain (to best reflect light) is looped around filter and can support weight up to 300LBS.

couple things though...

1) i wouldnt suggest trying to veg and flower in the same tent, even with splitting it...first off youre not gonna get any drop in temp (8*F-12*F) to simulate the night and you may get light leaks from when one side is on and the other is off, which would definitely fuck up your flowering (dont wanna go hermie do ya?)

2) id suggest 2 can fans for a DR240W...use one to pull air from outside thru your reflectors (use a bottom duct hole to suck the coldest air in)...use the other for your filter and exhaust (use a top duct hole to push out hot air)

3)try not to exhaust into the room where your DR240W is located if possible...like i said, i vent thru a ply-wooded window fixed with dryer vent and my exhaust is almost too good...id suggest you do the same if possible...its gonna get hella hot in there with 1200W running

best of luck and if you have any other questions feel free to hop in anytime

peace

sooooo...

today is day 10 of flowering...all of the gals are starting to show signs of budding...got some really beautifully long pistils everywhere...fed the broads for the second time...like i said, im using Humboldt Nutrients Master A & B, and for week 2 im using 7.5mL/gallon...

the overview:

the light cam:

view from right side window:

here's a better look at a pretty Sour Diesel girl:

and she's ready for her close up:

the gorgeous Ms. Gina G-13:

little closer view:

if sure someone out there has grown Sour Diesel before...im getting conflicting info about flowering time...one source is saying it has an 8 week bloom period and another is saying it takes 10 weeks to fully bloom...any inputs from the minds of RIU

thanks for popping in
