600w mh burnt after 2000 hours

my Sunmaster cool deluxe 600w MH Conversion bulb took a shit tonight just after 2,000 hours. the package claims 10,000 hours.


BLAH!!! that bulb was like 90 bucks.

Where did you buy it from? Almost all places warranty there bulbs for a year and will replace for free.

Just fyi, the ballast affects bulb life as well.

Thats only 166 days you will get a replacement for sure. BY the way 10,000 hr means that at least 1/2 of the lamps will be running, not all of them. You should replace every year.

took it with me to the shop today and they replaced with a USHIO HiLux Gro no questions asked
