600W Vertical with Hericules, SLH, Lady Cane and 3rd Dimension

This journal I'll keep short.

I'm using a 600W greenpower light with a magnetic ballast inside a 5" cooltube.
The cooltube runs by a 450m3ph centrifugal vent to a carbon filter on top of my tent.

The tent I use is a 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m and the walls are off gassing so I got them covered with panda foil and mylar for the rest of the run.

I'm running with soil mixed with some compost and perlite on a few plants and a coco\perlite mix on the Lady Cane and 2x Super Lemon Hazes.
I'm fertilizing mainly with BioNova Supermix Soil and supplementing with enzymes, supervit, alg-a-mic (biobizz), molasses and PK. I got a few other weapons in the arsenal in case they are needed)

As for strains, I got running:
5x Hericules (sannie seeds), one in a 7L.
1x Lady Cane (sannie seeds), in coco\perlite
2x Super Lemon Haze (a proven cut from a friend. Originally from Greenhouse Seeds), in coco\pelite.
1x 3rd Dimension (TGA subcool)
And a few more things that will not finish in this same tent.
All strains are new to me except for the 3rd Dimension which I've ran before.

Unless mentioned all plants are in 5 gallon buckets. All pots are mulches with coarse coco.

Flowering started on 9/4/11 so today is 19 days to flowering.

All coments are welcome, unless your an asshole.

Cheers, Fonz.

A few words on each strain, from seedfinder:

Strain: Lady Cane
Breeder: Breeders Choice
Location: indoor
Type: mostly sativa
Flowering: ~70 days

Breed by: Escobar
Genetic: Super Silver Haze x G13
Flowering time: 9-11 weeks
Harvest: 600 gram/m2 is possible
Taste: a powerfull spicy/haze taste
Effect: Body and fisical high
Flowers: Big and dense buds
THC: up to 20%

Actual Version: Lady Cane F2

A unique super silver haze phenotype with a twist of g13. The result is a extraordinary yielding strain that only need 10 weeks to flower. Lady cane gives a strong high that every smoker will apreciate. The spicy silver haze taste does make it completly perfekt. The sky is no limit anymore.

Fine selections made both parents drip of the potention, the offspring can only be extreme potent. That is the reason why we will continue with Lady Cane. This cross is a must have for sativa lovers wich will not have those long flower periods.

Strain: Hericules
Breeder: Sannies Seeds
Location: indoor
Type: mostly indica
Flowering: ~67 days
Only female seeds.
Type: Indica dominant Hybride
Flowering period: 9-10 weeks
Harvest: Up to 600 gram/m2(indoor)
Taste: Coffee punch with a hint haze
Effect: Strong and long lasting
Flowers: Big and dense
THC: Percentage up to 23%
Bred by Sannie and knutsel

Years of breeding and growing resulted in this unique strain. A few years ago we already made this cross and everybody who has grown this strain was impressed with its big buds which where covered in crystals. A easy to grow strain!

From several selections with the Herijuana and Shack we collected some of the most known elite clones which I am using for breeding purposes, both stable plants which are grown for numbers of time to supply ourselves with A+ grade smoking gear. Herijuana is the most powerful of the two strains which is standing out in density and potency from the buds, Shack which is standing out in yield and smooth haze taste. The combination will make sure you will have the best of both worlds. very suitable for medical growers / blowers which are looking for a strong strain that will provide big yield.

This seeds will give for 99.99 females of the highest quality If you are looking for a strain to impress your friends with good tasting and knock out weed you have find the fitting strain for your needs. This strain impressed me so much that the name hericules will fit here perfectly.

Strain: The Third Dimension
Breeder: TGA Subcool
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: mostly sativa
Flowering: ~48 days
No feminized seeds.
Featured in Big Book of Buds 3 Page 166,167

This 3 way cross of super elites is our fastest maturing hybrid. Having a very tropical taste reminding me of coconuts and Pineapple almost like a Pina Colada. The strain gets done very fast but does not lack in potency. The added boost of Jack’s Cleaner seems to really boost up the Sativa influence but the buzz is still very calming and relaxing with a nice mix of the three THC profiles present. I really enjoy smoking this weed so the smokability factor is high for flavor and taste.

Medium Yielding Hybrid with strong speedy buzz

* Phenotypes: Mainly Sativa with incredible speed and high resin production
* Height: Medium stretch/ Triangle shaped Colas
* Yield: Medium / Easy to Trim
* Indoor/Outdoor
* Sativa/Indica: 60/40
* Best way to grow: Topped and vegged to a 30” Bush
* Harvest Window: 45-50 days
* Hybrid: Apollo-13 x Jack The Ripper
* High type: Warm soft waves of high and very easy to smoke
* Smells: Tropical flavors range from Coconuts, pineapples, Kiwi and fruit punch
* Incredibly fast plant great for making Red bubble.

Super Lemon Haze (from the greenhouse seeds co website)

GENETICS - Lemon Skunk x Super Silver Haze.

EFFECTS - A very citrus-like haze, works fast and lasts long. It is a very powerful high, very balanced between a physical and a cerebral side.
Medicinally effective in pain therapy and appetite stimulation.

FLOWERING INDOOR -10 weeks, with a production up to 800 gr/m2.
Medium-tall plant, long and wide branches, ideal for SCRoG or LST

The Super Lemon Haze has won the 2008 High Times Cannabis Cup with a landslide of votes. Between the many reasons: its incredibly intense lemony flavour, with a strong haze background. It’s a sharp and intense taste, which reminds of lemon, lime and pink grapefruit, followed by a very earthy and musky haze aftertaste, with traces of incense and black pepper.
The effect is very balanced; it starts with a quick indica-hit feeling that softly moves to a very strong high, with a social and creative side.
The Super Lemon Haze is a very smooth compromise between the great qualities of its parents. It has 9-10 weeks flowering time, and a very typical Christmas tree shape. Plants tend to grow quite tall, but the internodes are not too far apart, and allow easy topping. The leaves are very sativa-like, while bud formation comes dense and has a high calyx-to-leaf ratio.
The Super Lemon Haze is very effective both indoors and outdoors, and responds very well to high-EC hydro systems as well as organic soil setups. When cultivated in soil, the spectrum of terpens is more developed and gives an extra lemony flavour.
The THC is high at over 22%, ensuring a very psychedelic experience to even the most experienced smokers.

heyheyehe looking sweet mcfonz! Im thinking of trying something similar soon :-) subbed up to see how this turns out for you!
I also just got a pack of 3D, so yeah! lol :peace:

Look out for hermies in the 3D, I got 2 hermies out of my 3-pack.
I got a VERY short flowering pheno (40-45 days) with decent yield and above average high.

This is the last 3D I ran:

Thanks for the heads up, looks like some good smoke :-) I'll keep an eye out for hermies when I pop em but that should be a at least another month.
How often do you plan to update? and whats the diameter of your screen?
Heres a pic of the one I made yesterday... same screen as yours I think. Mine is 3ft in diameter but think I might add a foot to that... I would also be running 600ds.

Sorry not trying to highjack your thread at all but the similarities have gotten the better of me. :eyesmoke:

Feel free, just don't post too many big pictures that will clog the thread.

My screen in about 2.5 feet wide to give about a foot from the light to the canopy.
I like my buds close to the light :-) up to 8 inches is good with me.
If I could make it larger I'd make it 3.5 feet and let the buds grow longer toward the light but my space limits me.

I do use a screen similar to yours :-)

ima keep an eye on this 1 ...

good vibes to u ...
Welcome nickman :-)

Good vibes to you too :eyesmoke:

I got a few spare minutes so I thought I would share a side project I'm working on (I got quite a few of these).
I'm working on stabilizing a cross I made. Cloud #9 (DinaFem) x Jilly Bean (TGA Subcool, ultra fast flowering male).
I just hit 2 females to make the F2.
I only got to keep one male which isn't ideal - I'll be making some more F2s with the rest of the F1 stock.
Anyhow, I got 2 STELLAR females to run with. The two of them are in a 2L water bottle with soil on the corner of a 250W SCROG cab. They don't get much light at all, specially the lower parts. Yet they look much fatter and faster then the Jilly Beans, 3D, Cloud#9xJack the Ripper and a few others I got in the same cab, most got much more root space, veg time and light.
I probably won't keep those F1 females as I still got around 10 seeds to pop and I need more variety in the F2.

I'm hoping for AT LEAST 50 seeds from these girls. This will let me run a proper pheno hunt for the F3s.

Well, my time is up, need to get some work done.

Correction:
the cross I'm working with is Cloud #9 x Jack the Ripper and not x Jilly Bean.
I've marked it CXJ and got confused, but got that sorted out.

There were 2 JTR males, one heavy yeider and one trifoliate. Will be interesting to find those traits again and cube them.

I don't have an update for the vertical run so I got you an eye candy instead for now.
Its a Jack The Ripper plant finishing its flowering cycle. 20L pot of soil and a cage for all its branches.

Wow! That JTR is SQUAT!!! Holy crap. Loving the vertical grow too. Not many better ways to manage light distribution.

That JTR is super branchy (I made it so), LSTed, topped, supercroped, SCROGED on a cage and flowered pretty early.
Its my first vertical run, hope it'll turn out better than my defoliated stadium style SCROGs yield-wise.

Welcome :-)

I'm subbed for the Lady Cane!
I just ordered a Herijuana 10pk and asked for the Lady Cane x Blueberry freebies.
I ordered for the Herijuana but I really like the LC now too. Super Silver Haze x G13 and 10 week flower time?
What's not to like?

The JTR in the previous page yielded 84 grams dry.

@Beansly:
I'm really looking forward to the Lady Cane. Although my pheno doesn't seem like the super high yielding pheno it seems pretty good still.
I'll probably try to find it again next season :-P

Cheers :-)

Pictures from yesterday.
One of the Hericules got a bit too dry but she's back now :-)

I got some Advanced Nutrients Big Bud I'll be testing on one of the Super Lemon Hazes.
If it'll grow to become better I'll get a bottle but I doubt how good that company really is based on their very shady discriptions.

Cheers.

My BioNova Soil Supermix is running out so I got a bottle of Hesi Bloom instead. (wanted something more... bloomy)
Also got a bottle of Rhizotonic (by Canna).
I'll be using the AN Big Bud on low dosage on all plants until it runs out (1ml\L and less). I'll also keep some around to do a proper test for it.

I've decided I'll give small amounts (0.5g\L or so) of House and Garden Shooting Powder throughout the rest of the flowering cycle.

Cheers :-)

I was wondering about the HESIs, cuz I see they have TNT and Bloom Complex, which are pretty weak I think (so pay less), and then the coco + pk13 (with gradually more pk in flowering) seemed to be a more economic choice, but I wonder if it is good in nutrient terms too.

McFonz

Hesi works.
The coco works well but is very strong.
The soil ones work well.

You'll need 3-4ml\L at most.

I don't know the whole buildup of the nutrients so I went with the soil bottle. As I only need it for flowering it didn't matter.

It would be cheaper to get some A + B nutrients where you get 2 liters for ~110 ILS rather than 1 liter for ~80 ILS.
You'll need the PK boost anyway. There's a soil pk booster but I rather use the 13\14 one.

As I don't need more than 1 liter right now it didn't matter to me.

2 of the Hericules were hermies and pollinated the whole crop.
I won't be paying much attention to this grow until harvest as its already seeded.
