ANY problems keeping ph stable with coco? i tried a few runs with it but had ph problems,,i also tried grow rocks,,again same problems,,,for some reason with my nutes rock wool is the only one that keeps ph levels stable..dont know why as grow rocks shouldnt affect ph and coco is neutral also..they all work and yields werent affected but w rock wool it is just easier than adjusting ph every other day..have u used rockwool? do u reuse the coco or toss and buy new each run? i reused the coco and ph was better the second run, but its a bitch cleaning the roots out.. ive never had any luck with soil indoors,,always got algea or stem rot..
I haven't had much problem. I added a little lemon juice during veg to bring it down alittle. Now im just adding molasses it helps bring it down and it gives cal/mag to my nute solution.

So, with a single 615 watt Dimlux (two 315 bulbs) What is the absolute closest i can run this light to my canopy without bleaching if heat isn't an issue?? What is the actual foot print for the 615? is is 4x4? I want to invest in these but I only have a distance of 5.74 feet from my roof to the trays .

If you put it a foot away, then you cannot expect much coverage....4X4 might be right.

Would a foot work? Not sure. I use half again that....

(sorry, not a good answer)

come on guys,, no way can a 630 cmh replace a 1k hps.. 1 315 can average 425 gpw, so a 630 would probably yield 850 grams,, a 1k gets 1000grams at 1 gpw..
i dont use the 630,, i use 315's in seperate ballasts,, i feel its better to spread them out,, 3 315 watt cmh running at 945 watts will easily beat out the 1k hps,,using 3 315's ive hit 1,400 grams,, thats 1.48 gpw,, my best runs have been combining 2 315 w cmh and 2 100 watt citizen go green cobs,, total wattage= 830 watts yield= 1,350 grams = 1.6 gpw...

so no 630 will replace a 1khps, however that 630 can get you a higher gram per watt than any hps.and the more 315's you use the better the gpw u can hit..

I understand:clap:

Do you know when Philips will release the 630W bulb? In Spain only Solux and Lumafarm have this bulb

Thanks you!:leaf:

Does anyone know if is possible to run a single lamp on the 630w?
will I make it explode? or is it safe?
I would like to use my 630 with single lamp grow spectrum to use only 315w.

Thanks
I ran just one side for veg... then turned both on for flower.. worked great!

I join the question...
it's hard to say since a lot of guys run individual 315s for better coverage . problem is no matter how many 315w fixtures you have, you may gain some penetration but will be very weak when compared to other hids*. that's why I much prefer to keep my 315s for veg. and rock a 630w dual 315w bulb for flower . having two bulbs under the same hood creates a very very intense light all focused in one hood. The penetration is comparable to a 600w hps. But yields are much better than with a 600w hps. I rock my 630w in a 5x5. i ran only 6 plants last run , and could of fit 3 more in there if I would have filled the tent. I still saw 700g from 6 plants. all top shelf quality. so I could of easily seen 1050g under just a 630w In a 5x5 if packed full

What would the ideal single tent size be for the 630 watts of cmh lighting (considering all things: light coverage, intensity, and especially cooling)?

Would you recommend the single hood version or having two separate single bulb ones for the aforementioned tent?

The 630w seems like a perfect set up for 4 plants (the legal limit in Canada come October)

I think that with a dual bulb single fixture 630cmh. the perfect tent size is 5x5. The footprint fits it perfectly. I just mount my fixture at its highest point possible and leave it. Penetration is actually quite good considering its mh. make sure to run the 3100k bulbs. and always make sure you have minimum 33-36 inches of space between canopy and lights. good luck !

Here's the current opp.

Sun System 630w LEC
4x4 Light House Hydro tent
6 inch Black Opps filter
6 inch Hurricane in-line fan
Roots organic soil in 5g Root Pouch bags

6 plants from clones of my last run
5 Chocolope
1 Jack Herer
Just transplanted today 2/13

I still need a bigger fan then the 1 (6in) clip fan thats in there temps are around 82° still on a veg cycle.

I'm no pro. Any help/info/suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Pull those lights alllllll the way up, and watch out for over watering
