I curently have 1 42w and 2 23w 6500k cfls on my 2 plants that are in veg right now. I have a spot open in my y splitter for another bulb but i dont have an more 6500k bulbs to put in it. I have a shit load of 2700k bulbs, will putting one of those in with the 6500k lights help during veg any or not?

yes dual spectrum is the way to go so that it promotes healthy growth and awsom flowering all the way through

I try to get 70/30 6500/2700 in veg and the reverse in flower. But I've heard of some growers experimenting with 50/50 throughout and getting good results. Seems to me it's an imitation of nature. More cool sun in the spring but some warm, then increasing warm till harvest time when light is mostly warm with some cool.

More blue in veg, more red in flower, is the standard.

6500 is close to natural sunlight, and 2700 mimics the fall sun.

A mix is fine, but more red will cause more stretch

you dont need dual spectrum i use the white or veg then i use the red ones for flower works a treat but i have done it the other way round to and it made the bud a bit airy but it still made loads of bud

I have 1 42w and 2 23w 6500k and 1 23w 2700k on the 2 veggin plants right now, if 2700k can benifit during veg i want to add some more of them now. I have 7 more 23w 2700's will adding them now during veg help it grow faster?

yes 2700k can help just a bit (IT WONT HURT) i would use more 6500's then 2700's just for veg , then more 2700's then 6500's for flower! but yea the more the better.
