6th WEEK FLOWERING (PICS!)

she still seems behind in yield and trichome production, it is dirt brown bagseed though so who knows how frosty it will get.

also having an issue with leaves yellowing/dying off rapidly...

growing in MG organic soil, using full strength 10-15-10 with every other watering, leaves turn yellow (chlorotic) and turn up... i've already lost two sets of big fan leaves and some undergrowth this way, leaves in close proximity to buds seem to be doing fine so i dont know if this is a problem.

just performed a flush followed by 150% strength nutes to address low N?

smaller plant has been flowering for about 3 weeks now... just started showing pistils last week. it has been losing lower leaves as well.

the baby plant is papaver somniferum:grin:

Not bad for some bag seed, I just started my first grow the other day(fem'd god bud) =)

The ones in the smaller cups probably got root locked and that's why they are behind in production, but the buds dont look half bad bro.

I like the 2 fan leaves that are all yellow, looks kinda neat lol

Anyways, best of luck finishing them off and happy tokin!

Bag seeds is like playing the lotto sometimes. Don't get me wrong, you can sometimes find a gem from time to time. Yellowing of the leaves will happen late in the flowering stage so that's normal. Try using about 1tsp of unsulfured molasses to a gallon of water to up your trichome production. It will help a little with the weight. Looks like your using cfl's, if so get more and place them closer to the plant. I've seen some nice plants grown under cfl's. Also try LST your plants next time to get a better yield from them. I would hate to wait 2 1/2 to 3 months for 4 grams of work.

you have a host of deficiencies give her more nutes get a more powerful light. i am growing bag seed right now that i have identified as Columbia gold. bag seed is usually sativa(assuming it was grown in mex).

you need to transplant those babies you have in the cups. I tried a solo cup grow, and couldn't do it. They got rootbound and weren't making any progress. Leaves were yellowing and dying, and they started to look like shit. I transplanted them after about two weeks of flowering, but since they were rootbound and one big mass, They didn't experience any shock. Let me tell you they've been banging ever since. I would have thought after 6 weeks she'd be alot further ahead.

what type of lighting are you using?

lol yeah i'm using 2x42w cfl's.

but also a 150w HPS as well... so this is why i'm a little disappointed...

Okay it's been a week since i last updated... i tried adding extra nutes which seemed to help for a day or two, but then caused a little bit of nute burn (no big deal) and then i've got the same problems going on... although now it seems like i've got some claw leaf action going on.

i think the problems aren't anything simple it's a combination high heat, bad watering schedule, low humidity and bad fert scheduling

there is an issue i'm really concerned with tho, the buds on the big plant smell like mildew... strongly so, i can't smell any normal plant/bud smells, the smaller plant smells like it should, like pot, but the big one i get close (nose to bud) and it smells like a musty damp towel, do i have some sort of mold or decay on the buds?? what can i do to fix this?

on the plus side buds are getting fatter and frostier by the day, i've got about 10-20% brown hairs

thanks,

jesus

if your humidity is to high you will get that chlorophil smell from your buds its the first stage of bud rot. try to check your humidity and keep it at 30 or less. Probly to much N in your flowering nutes gave you nute lock.. that fucks up the p and then eventually the K... have the same problems with my plant.. i use Mg organic and added 10-64-10 which i came to find out threw research is way to high nitrogen. The chick i talked to at advancenutrients.com said that a 0-18-9 is the scientific lottory for N-p-K specific to MJ. this may help not sure.. gl and im gonna keep checking back for pics i want to see what it looks like finished... check out my thread its in my sig im a 3 weeks flowering and its showed female and preflowers are poping on Eight bud sites.

took a sample today from one of the smaller lower buds...

gave a light head high, even though it was weak it felt like a quality high.

definitely put me in a good mood... but yeah it was weak at best like in between regs and mids for strength, prolly got another 2 weeks, will post pics tomorrow.

most of the psychoactive properties of THC arent honed till it dries.. so you probably didn't get high.. maybe from your nutes or something. But really man, the transplanting idea should have been taken a lot more seriously. Id say thats your number one problem.

well the big plant has plenty of space in it's pot... it's only 2 feet tall and it's like a gallon pot i transplanted it three times, and the small one in the tiny cup is doing a lot better than the big plant

yeah well i dried it... but thc is thc period. cbd and cbn effect the quality of the high (high cbd/cbn = couchlock)... i got high, just not very high.

yeah i definitely have space for bigger pots, i started out with like 6 plants and only ended up with one viable female. I had another female but it had some kind of pest that I was worried would fuck up the whole grow.

yeah if i get a 1/4 oz. off this grow i'll be happy.. haha... round 2 is going to be a different story however.

Bigger pots dude, but you already know that.

Just one thing that caught my eye, at one point you said you added 150% strength nutes to address a deficiency? If you have a deficiency and you add a really strong concentrate of nutes, then you will almost definately stop the plant from feeding, by causing lockout, which will just increase the deficiency.

And if your feeding at full strength and you have signs of deficiency (through lockout) or toxicity, then your best bet is to flush with ph'd water with a very small amount of nutes (1/8 full strength). Then, when it's time to water again, feed with half strengh nutes.

I have never used Miracle grow, it's too strong and causes too many problems. I know people do use it tho, but they tend to use it lightly. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use MG at full strength at any point in their grow :-?

Just a heads up tho mate, not being critical, You should have seen my first grow
