70w hps 12-12 light

i got my thermometer in there today with out the hps on it is right around 73F

when should i turn the hps on?

i came back today and wow one plant had grown two feet! it had shown its sex -male...and i have removed it

one of the plants has shown its sex as female

and the smallest one has not yet.

also i have turned on the hps today and watched it all day temp stayed at about 80 degrees
is that temp ok?

thinking about starting the bloom nutes in a week at 1/3 strength

GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK!!

80 is a smidge high.... indoor plants seem to be favorable to 72-78. The small oval yellow spots are a result of touching the CFLs at some point. I've got a few of these "cigarette" burns on mine right now. Also, it kinda looks like the plants are stretching, try keeping the CFLs closer than the HPS.

if its getting too hot dont turn the hps off just move it a bit further away from the plants, any more pics?

Hey, I like what you're doing so far :) I'm a big fan of 12/12 from seed. Don't listen to what other people say about it. 99% of the time they didn't even try it. I have one bagseed going at 12/12 from seed and she's one big mofo hehe.. The thing about 12/12 from seed you need to know though, is that LSTing gets a little bit more difficult, especially with the main cola because the stems get really woody quickly when they're in flower.. You sure can do it with the side branches though!
