Dude i feel your pain, this happened to me when growing Northern Lights. According to Jorge Cervantes and the Grow Bible when this happens it can take up to 2 weeks to return to your original cycle. If you are in vegatative state then return to your normal veg cycle for 2 weeks at least! If flowering return to cycle 12/12 and it will just be delayed.

Okay i've heard your plants shouldn't be hurt at all! My buddy does a system where he takes his vegging plants and puts them in three days of darkness to help with the stress of moving from fluro to hps. So I would believe if they are in flowering they will be fine if they are vegging dont worry about it just correct the issue and leave running for a few days to return to normal.

Yup - that's what I was going to say.

Marijuana Horticulture is the best resource out there. I always go there first.

If your in veg then leave them on 24 hours. If the plants arent getting light there not growing.18/6 cycle is a myth a college educated botanist will tell you the same.plants dont need a "rest period" they will grow constantly.and this way you dont have to use a timer except to flower :)
