740cfm in 4x4x7 tent

So I have a rx4x7 tent and a 2.5x2.5x64” tent I wanna bent both of them with one fan and filter is 740 cfm too much power I don’t care if it’s over kill as long as it won’t stress out my girls I have a 4” 204cfm infinity with g hydro filter and shits not cutting it anymore the smell is filling up my house what do you guys think

This is just my two cents there will be lotta gas Cham into I’m sure.
Sounds like you need a bigger filter and also may be a bigger fan remember you don’t want to push the air too fast through the filter or the carbon will not have time to scrub the air. If your humidity is high I’ve heard that will affect it also as far as the smell goes.

You might wanna also consider a variable fan control. This will help you dial in the odor control

I’m robin a 4” infinity fan 205 cmf and my filter is rated at 215 my fan is full blast unfortunately the wife keeps bitching at my any recommendations on a 8”fan?

I have used some really overpowered exhaust fans, the only thing thats a real issue is the tent trying to implode lol. High CFM kits help.

Use a larger than normal centrifugal blower and run it on a variac to slow it down. You still move lots of air but it's silent if your duct work is good. Vortex VTX series is the best IMO.

Search for Vortex VTX that will find the blowers.

Look for a variac, make sure it will carry the amperage of the fan, over sizing it is ok.

I’ve always used cheap fans so I can’t suggest a quiet one. Re fro is correct... oversize your blower and dial it down as needed. It’ll move more air at a lower decibel than a smaller fan at 100%.
If you have a negative pressure you are sure to filter all the air but your tent will implode and be abit smaller.. the sides suck in several inches

If your tent sides suck in too much you can get a "high CFM" kit for your tent that adds extra bars on the sides to brace it more. I used two on my 2x4 with a 10 inch vortex lol. I dial it WAY down and it is silent but moving tons of air.

I cut some wood Today going to wedge them in their like I did with top of tent thank you....ya my 4”ac infinity sucks it in drum tight don’t wanna see what an 8” will do lol

Right, couple of points.

First where does your vented air go that your house is stinking?

Second if you have two tents of different volume and you use one fan to vent both spaces then your going to have one tent at one temp and the smaller tent at much lower tenp because the air in that tent is been exchanged far more often than the bigger tent.

When your duct is different lengths and your filters are different sizes then you end up with the fan pulling through the path of least resistance , been the bigger filter. But since theres such a big difference in volume between the two tents it might work in your favour.

If it doesn't then you can use your small fan/filter to vent your little tent and send the air directly into the bigger tent and let your big fan/filter deal with the stink.

I have my fan inside the tent creating negative presser but blowin air into my carbon filter which is out side of the tent
