hey guys i'm in my 7th week of flowering now under 150watt HPS and a couple cfls mixed in. 12/12 cycle. Unfortunately I am going to have to harvest early (2 weeks) because I am having my grandparents stay with me (also for 2 weeks), so they have to go. I ordered a 400 watt switchable mh/hps light which should arrive after the weekend, so they'll be going under that HPS bulb for the remaining 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I should trim some of the leaves around the bud sites? Don't really want to mess with the fan leaves, but I feel as if the leaves around the buds are taking over. This is my first grow and am unsure of what to do. Please help!IMG_0598.jpgIMG_0601.jpgIMG_0550.jpgIMG_0603.jpgIMG_0594.jpgIMG_0584.jpgIMG_0588.jpgIMG_0583.jpgIMG_0582.jpgIMG_0595.jpg

Goddammit Grandparents! That is an absolute travesty that you have to cut those, they are looking great. Don't trim any leaves, it's what collects all the light. Plus, light actually degrades THC so having them block the lower buds isn't a bad thing always. When you do harvest, there will probably be some crystally white buds at the bottom, yummy.

How far are your lights from the tops of the buds? What nutes are you using?

Here's a pic of my setup. The lights are about 6 inches away from the plants and I just fed them MG bloom booster (two small scoops per 2 gal. distilled water). I don't fert often, but water almost every 2-3 days.

^Definitely. They are extra leafy, because you went a little heavy on the nitrogen. That delays harvest, as well. You are going the right route though, but going with the bigger light. Back off on the N, and that's about the most you can do. A good flushing would probably help, as well. :)
