8 inch plant with seeds already??? Wtf?

All right guys this is too weird. I have an 8 inch plant that has never been out of the Veg phase and I found it having seeds as of yesterday. I couldn't believe that one. Of course (even though all of the plants are still doing 24/24 hours a day/so no way it could have gone into blooming phase. There was about a 5 hour power loss in the house last week but I was told this wouldn't have caused it. And it was the only plant the had seeds growing, I have no idea--Can anyone provide me some insight?

LOST IN THE SAUCE-NEED HELP- LOL

the 5 hours darkness could have stressed them - but they could be male preflowers.
they are definately not seeds unless youve got other plants lyin around, but even if there are female preflowers(which dosent even seem likely) they wouldnt be mature enough to home a seed

i would believe that highly - if it werent for that its under 24/24.
and dont male preflowers show later and mature earlier?

plants can show preflowers without having a shortened light period...you have a male plant..if you had seeds..it would of had pistils (hairs) first...that it what collects the pollen...if you didnt have hairs...and a male plant around...then you have a preflowering male.also...males will show sex before females do.

yeah but the time it shows preflowers is proportional to its lightcycle. - in other words a plant on 18/6 will sexually mature faster than a plant on 24/0 even though both are still in vegetative growth.

most strains wont sexually mature under a 24/0 cycle unless it contains ruderalis traits..in which case the light cycle is irrelevant.but in this case...he is confusing male preflowers for seeds

exactly my point - he has the lightcycle on 24/0, so im surprised to see preflowers.

all weed plants WILL show preflowers under 24/0, it just takes a lot longer, could even be three months.
the fact that they are hermies is irrelevant also, light cycle does not depict sex, unless constantly being changed and stressing the plant, thus turning it hermie. keeping a plant on 24/0 wont stress the plant(though i dont personally believe its entirely natural :/)

in this case i was surprised that a plant would show preflowers at only eight inches tall - but we dont know how long it has been alive.

we wont know fully what the problem is until pics are revealed but its most likely male balls because there dosent seem to be any other possibility...

never said the light cycle caused it to go hermie...just ones that showed preflowers under 24/0 early...ended up being hermie.and ive had 2-3 inch plants show sex...size isnt what makes a plant flower...its either the strain or the light cycle

by "only eight inches tall" i was just saying that if its only that high its not likely to be old enough to be showing preflowers.
i honestly think it is male preflowers he's seeing as i couldnt see any other possibility, but then again it could be new growth or something that hes mistaking for seeds..
