the seeds that i purchased said 8 weeks/56 days, tommorow will be day 56 since i switched to 12/12, anyones thoughts on how accurate these timeframes are, or if it means something different than from the moment you switch to 12/12

Those time frames are for plants grown in near perfect conditions/environment. I would say most 8 week strains have a harvest window of two weeks between week 8 and week 10. It is all dependent on what the trichomes look like. In the end that's all that matters no matter what the time frame says.

It has so many fator really... Taking into account that you had good solid environment conditions. ( Good hoods, good bulbs, the dynamics of your room in tact.) Here is what I do..Not saying its the end all say all but after a few years it took to get my room down and figure the genetics I wanted to run that paid off the best in cost vs time and $ ratio. Day 56 on 8 wker's I will cut the lights let the plant stand uncut in darkness for 36 hours the hack em and hang em whole. nothing compares to this as far as drying. I keep em in constant dark cool dry conditions as they dry say it takes 8-12 day to dry a 10x10 room, I run my inline and exhaust with a mild negative pressure to make sure the moisture leaves the room and don't want my Rh to raise about 50 or go below 40..Do em slow and nothing compares. I use H7G with some other stuff in the mix. I cut out Cal mag in middle of wk7 and miss the whole 8th wk. I just water em straight RO in the last week. If your canopy is created even, good set up and they claim 56 cool but always be aware its more your room than the strain or just as much lets say. Hope it helped
