Yes it will work. Last year outdoor run I had a plot I had to ditch. I dug as much as I could and transplanted big root ball into black trash bag and took lady home and transplanted her into a 10 gallon trash can. I also dug my Skywalker OG, GDP and Green Poison out the ground once harvested with about 25% plant material still on it and cut the root ball so it could fit in a 1 gallon milk jug with top off. Put ladies on 24/0 for 2 weeks then 18/6 like normal veg and all of them reverted back over fine also. Your ladies will survive just cut nutes back by 1/2 then once you see new growth bounce back to regular feeding schedule.
