A Bloomin Nightmare!

I just set my timer Monday night to start my bloom cycle in my Grow closet.

So I went to bed and had this CRAZY nightmare. My two best plants: Grape Ape and Chem Dawg grew so fast overnite that they pushed the light and ballast up & pressed it against the ceiling. All the leaves had fallen off so they looked like huge stems! The metal halide bulb had burst and left glass all over the floor, so my grow was left in shambles.

It was like Jack and the Weedstalk!

I woke up in a sweat & dashed downstairs to check on things...

Turns out my timer was switched to off by accident while I was changing it and the lights didn't come back on when they should have, so I had to re-program it and make sure they came on the next day. Other than that, all was fine.

Anyone else ever dream about their grow op?

Good thing you caught onto the issue before they got stretched/stressed

Nearly nightly when I first started. Mine usually involved thoughts of fire and flooding. It got to the point I installed cameras pointing at the ceiling so I could see if there was smoke. I sleep much easier now.

Yeah, timers! Thought the digital would be easier than those cheap Harbor Freight ones...

oh my god me too... i'm like ooohhh digital.. lets get specific... it took me an hour to figure it out, and while i was waiting for my beans i made sure that "auto on" meant that the timer was engaged

Yeah, the thing has 20 programmable settings, but they all apply to both dual outlets! Pretty useless for growers' purposes, I need one side of the outlet to go 12/12 and the other side on 18/6 or 24hrs...
