Hey guys, new to this forum so I just wanna say hi :)

AND... Ask a few question about soil and growing :P

1. I heard that if you change soil for your plant it will not grow.

2. Can clones be put in different soil that is not being used by the mother plant?

3. Can clones be taken from clones?

4. Do nutes have to be given to fresh cut clones in soil?

5. Why do most grow dvds show the growers using hydroponic systems when soil can be used to clone plants too?

6. Can fluoride and other chemicals in your water alter your plant/buds?

7. Can mother plants grown in soil have their clones put in rockwool?

Thanks!!!! :)

1. it might shock the plant. it depends on how different the soils are.

2.yes

3.yes

4.after the roots have sprouts you can lightly feed them nutrients

5. that's part of how they grow

6.depending on what's in the water and the ph level of the water it can go either way

7. yes

do you need me the elaborate on those topics?

1.) usally people just use the same soil...but you can use diffrent soil for diffrent stages, u just gatta do your homework and do it right for any kinda improvment over just using the same soil
2.)yes...once you give the trimming the root hormone it will start new roots, plants dont know what kinda soil they are in, they just use its whatever nuts. they can.
3.)yes, each time you clone from a clone its called generations(gen 1 gen 2 ect.)...most growers say you can go up to 7 generations before any downfall...i dont keep count.
4.) Depends, but i would say no, i only use humidity ,rooting powder, and water inside a dome.
5.) most likly they have a hydro set up and want to grow the roots out of soil...people with soil set ups clone in soil...idk why.
6.) i would say yes...and again i can only tell you what i did...went to walmart got a "zero water filter" best one out lol...and i filter all my water with that...it has a 5 stage filter system in...*bad ass*
7.) yes, a trimming with take to anything (with-in reason)

hope this helps

Hey flowmaster i was just wondering if you had any more info on what problems can arise from cloning clones more than seven generations.

I have been growing a nirvana PPP strain for nine or ten generations in a perpetual always taking clones before flower of current gen.

im not exactly positive because my growing conditions and envirnment has changed so much over the lifespan of the strain{it is awesome to think that from one branch of ur best plant can come harvest after harvest of identical plants} but it seems like the strain lost "vigor" i guess you could say.. No weird mutations or anything just not quite as strong and beefy..

If you have any info i'd appreciate it.

3. I've heard the 7th gen myself as well. I also have seen, and smoked w.w. that the grower has had since the late 90's. It's very good and consistent.
