A few questions on cloning...

Hi, now that my grow is starting to really get rolling, I'd like to quickly touch base on the topic of cloning. Attached is an example of one of my plants. Is it now a good example to start taking a few cuttings to clone with? I do plan on flowering this plant so I'd still like to get a good yield. I was hoping to take a few clones from each of my larger plants, some to grow and 1 to check and see if it is a male or a female ahead of time by inducing flowering. Can I do this? And what is the best medium to do it in? Are rockwool cubes only for hydro setups? I'm only using soil so I'd like to stay fairly consistent. I don't particularly want to grow from seed again and I'd like to grow enough weed within the next 12 months to not really have to grow again for a while as I am not a heavy smoker.

your kind of in a tricky place, can you give a little more insight on to what you have growing? how many do you have so far under what kind of light. do you have a veg area seperate from your flower area for your mothers and her rooting clones?

if you take a clone from the plant in the pic, you would only be able to take 1 good one from the top from what i can tell. let the go another week or two and you should have plenty of sites to work with. take atleast two from each and label them. once rooted take one clone from each and flower them. i would use rapid rooter if you can get them. then put into small pots no more then a gallon and flower. the other clones put into pots but keep in your veg room. once you have an idea of male and female and pheno you can start taking more clones from the desired mothers and disregard the others. keep your mothers and clones on 18 or 24 hours of light and your flower room on 12/12.
