This is a personal grow journal from seed to harvest. It is written for the sole purpose of supplying information to the medical marijuana community. The author is a registered medical marijuana patient, and does not advocate breaking the law.

Introduction-Background

Since this being my first journal, I will start from the beginning.
The sun had just set, I was 16, and it was opening night for Texas high school football. Before showing up to the varsity game, a friend and I decided to link up and get high. Now although I attempted to get high using a coke can as a pipe a year or so earlier, I had never before been stoned. So after meeting up, we pulled into a parking lot that was connected to trails for hiking, and a bayou. Once camped out next to the bayou, out comes this beautifully rolled 'fatty'. Hit by hit the two of us extinguished that monster of a joint. What must have been only minutes, felt like hours, I don't really know, but I do know this, I was stoned!
Fast forward to today, over a decade has gone by, and though much has changed, being a stoner has not. But due to an unfortunate motorcycle accident some years back, I now 'self medicate' legally.

Introduction-Growing Experience

I am relatively new to the growing scene. To date, I have completed two growing cycles, with my third just weeks away.
Past strains grown: Shiva Skunk, Skunk#1, Power Kush(fem), and White Widow(fem).

After removing the seeds from their original packaging, they are placed inside a matchbox lined with an emery board. Once the seeds are in the box and top closed, the seeds are then shaken for about 30 seconds to scuff the outer shell slightly. This is done to "allow water to enter and set germination in motion." -J.Cervantes
Next the seeds are removed from the matchbox and then dropped in a glass of distilled water. The waters quality is measured by a Hanna GroChek meter to be: pH-6.6, ppm-20. In order to prevent oxygen deprivation within the seed, it will only pre-soak for 24 hours. Lastly the seeds are put away safely on a shelf in a warm, dark closet. Temperature ranges between 70 and 75 degrees, while the humidity is around 40 percent.

24 hours later and the seeds are now ready to be placed in the Rapid Rooters. To provide a bigger base, the rooters are first turned upside down, and then a little opening is cut on the top for the seed to be placed in. Next they are watered thoroughly with distilled water. Finally the tray is covered with a 7" humidity dome, vent holes closed, and placed back in the warm, dark tent.

Seeds still resting in the dark tent. Temperature was close to 69, central a/c, so I raised slightly to 71. Humidity is hovering around 50ish. No seeds have popped through the surface yet.

To all those who may have been following this journal:
I am sorry for not completing my first 'online' journal. My computer crashed on 5-14. I lost all data and photos. Please forgive me.
Texian.
