So I am on the 2nd week of flowering, and I noticed that my prize behemoth plant might be developing pollen sacks... :( sad day for me. these are the best pics I can supply at the moment, but I will post others as soon as I can, but if it is indeed a male, I want it out of there as soon as possible. Please.... Say it aint so!!!!

wow, those plants look extremely stretched out.

I would move the light close to the plant and get more lights on it as soon as possible. if you see balls then chop that guy

not very clear but that one looks promising, from that photo i waould say you have a girl. that praying paid off. and as above said they do look stretched, move the light closer or add more if your not using enough

I'm using two T8 Plant/Aquarium bulbs at the moment and I Have them about 4" above her right now. At this point, with only one plant left, it's not really cost-effective to add any more lights. But I was considering lining the walls with the reflective side of some aluminum foil or one of those space blankets. Do you think that would help at all?

yes the blankets will work but dont use the tin foil, paint the walls flat white is better than foil, and 4" is good for the light, but it isnt enough for flower

monstercrop.jpgyea man, i would hurry up and bend that fucker down, then put the light WAY closer, this one was just put in flower 3 1/2 foot or so tall, now it is -8".... just the way i like this tall lanky bastard of a strain, get more watts and look up supercropping

Well the dual T8s is really all I can afford right now and I used the same light setup on my last grow and I ended up with this beauty:

Did you pull a quarter off of that plant?

I'm not trying to give you a hard time at all, quite the opposite. If you are going to take the time (3+months) to grow out a mj plant, you may as well produce some marijuana. A 4 pack of 23watt CFL's are relatively inexpensive and will probably triple your production, if not more. The buds you produced are nice but they are very small. A few more watts would probably make you a little more contented with your effort.

If you decide not to add a few cheap bulbs, at least lower the light to the plant top. The spacing in your plant is remarkably large.

I really do appreciate your help. I need all the help I can get. Are you talking about the corkscrew style CFL's? I was thinking about trying that. But where would I get the mounts for the bulbs? Or would it be cheaper to just buy 4 of those closet style outlets and mounting them on the underside of my closet shelf or something?

You are exactly right about using the corkscrew type bulbs. The 6500k bulbs (full sun) work great for supplemental lighting, are inexpensive, and really add bulk to your plants. You can use any type of mount. The easiest way to mount them is by buying a hooded shop light, an extension, and 3 Y adapters. That allows you to mount 4 bulbs into a small area and will really up your bud production. It's also considerably less of a hassle to assemble (and much less expensive) than a HPS. I flower under HPS with lots of CFL supplemental lights.

I veg and keep my mama plants under the exact same setup as I'm describing and it produces plenty for me.

I flowered a plant under 4 CFL's and pulled a couple of ounces off the plant.

Good luck!
