A Question About Mold

i was wondering what is the actual 'definition' of mold, in terms of quantity that affects buds.
at what point is it "MOLD"?

im asking as some of the herb from a previous harvest seems to have started to show some hints of mold but it never seemed to become a full infestation. (i didnt open the jars for 2-3 days and after sensing it may be turning, left the jars open for a week to completely dry them out)

using a jewelers scope i found; on completely molded herb, there were cobwebs of white strings which were very dense.
on the this harvest, some of the herb had what seemed to be a small 'shoot'/strand or two but no webbing. the herb smells a bit musty but seems generally fine.
just wondering as i dont want to damage my lungs for it but at the time, if its good, i dont want to throw it out...

any suggestions, insights or information is most welcome...

*does water curing remove mold? could a batch like this, not fully molded, be saved or used after water curing?*

thanks!!!:leaf:

is it one jar of a few or your only one? cause if you got one moldy bud in the jar they all have spores at this point, water hash time. only do a soak for a few days and exchange water a few times to get the mold spores off before you start the fun of shaking for trics so you get rid of the mold before you start making hash or else your just trading moldy bud for moldy hash.

the spores seem to be in about 3 of the jars. if the water cure can get rid of the spores, thats perfect.
it seems like the mold never really developed fully into webbed covering, just smells/feels musty (spores).
(which im assuming is as toxic as the mold itself)

thanks!!!!

I can not say what your situation is or recommend you do anything that may make you sick.
However, I have had bud that I thought had mold that smelled like hay and felt different than the rest. It even had a brownish appearance. I isolated all of it and took it from jar and put it in a large zip-lock and eventually it reverted for the most part. Telling me it was not mold but just a bad dry. The main reason I suspected mold in the first place is that I did have a bit of bud rot on a few colas. I cut away the obvious mold and even a good bit of the surrounding area and I`m pretty confident that if it had been mold it never would have bounced back. Worth a shot.
