A question for my grower friends.

I'd like to kick around something here if you dont mind...

Soon I will be able to grow my own meds and I was wondering what was the most effective way to make sure I am getting my meds monthly, but at the same time not exceeding the 2.5 oz max to possess.

I was thinking that 1 plant if done right will get me close to the 2.5 limit and I am allowed 12 plants. So would you stagger the growth and have 1 plant almost finished in flower, one half way into flower, 1 just starting the flower. Then have a few in veg, and a few clones going and just stagger them down the line. Only problem I foresee is the variance in times of flowering between the strains grown.

Well I'd like to kick the ideas around and see if I can come to a conclusion on the best way to have my fresh meds and not break the law.

its pretty simple. are you wanting moms? or just from seed?

have two rooms or two tents. one light schedule is 18/6 and one is 12/12.

throw twelve seeds in twelve pots and place them in the 12/12 tent. after a month throw one in the 12/12 room. every three weeks throw another one in there. after a couple months your harvesting obe plant every three weeks.

later down the line your twelve plants in the 18/6 tent will be so big that your gonna be getting like a qp from each probably so youll need to either trim them well or make butter with the extra.

p.s be sure to drop another seed in the 18/6 tent each time you throw one in the 12/12.

or rake clones and forget the seeds and the guess work, but RZZZA is right

you can have 2.5 oz. it doesnt matter what form it is in. if you end up with more that the allowable make it into honey oil or hash it a lot less weight and it allows to have more bud 1 gram of oil is like 8 grams of bud or trim . butter has more weight and will be weighed as a solid so to here is a link to tell you wht you need to know about oil extraction from one of our own. i hope hobbs doesnt mind. very informative

i agreee it would be better with moms and clones. in that case use the 18/6 tent for the moms/humidome/veg.

I thought you can only have 12 plant total? Very good advice my friend I appreciate the info. I was thinking along those same lines as well. I dont smoke more than and oz a month so I will have to make hash and edibles or oil I guess. Im sure I can give some away free to people that really need meds and dont have a lot of money. I'm not really in need of trying to be a caregiver and make any money of the meds.

does it matter?...yes a buddy.i help alot of med people besides my own. im at 40 if it mattered.

doesnt matter really, you just started with a buddy and ended with me. no big deal

Can we keep a separate tote for undired cannabis until they are ready?

the authorities will call anything not in the dirt, connected to roots, usable. thats the reality. it sucks but its true. you will end up fighting it in court and probably winning in certain circumstances.

only usable as far as the 2.5 per patient is concerned in my opinion is left to the grower just like a pumpkin farmer if he was going after weight, you can cure as long as you want and who's to say what is dry and ready, that only holds true if by the time it dries its within legal weight, and from what I am hearing according to lawyers is they can only take what you have over the limit, again thats gonna depend on the pigs. They can't count branches as plants obviously, and as far as weight I wouldn't sweat it unless ur a worry wart. Who's to say what is ready and what is not.

My recent problem fell under the same circumstances, I had 16 ounces drying but if I were to let it dry out to 15 oz's I would be legal. Thats something u would fight in court as far as what is usable and ready. Shit some people cure awhile, you can lose quite a bit. I have seen 1/3 drop off from when it is picked till it is dry easy if not more. You have 112 grams, its gonna dry to 84 grams easy. If they are dicks they are gonna get you one way or another

If it is still on the plant/stalk/whatever, its considered a plant, once it comes off the stalk/stem/plant and dried-cured its considered usable.

We dry ours on the stalk, the whole plant and work from there.

But we have a small group of growers and come harvest for anyone in the group we all come over and help out to get it done quick and out the door, its a really smooth system.
