abnormal brown spots on bud

I noticed brown spots on a bud that is near finishing. I'd like to get an opinion as to what it is before i smoke any of it. I cut a piece of the spot off and the color extends into the bud and it resembles dead plant matter. There is no apparent growth of mold. Just a few spots here and there. So depending on what it is, what should I do?

check ur humidty and lower it if thats the prob sounds like rot

Here is the verdic, I cut the bad plant down today and it looks much worse than I thought. It would have been some good tasting smoke. What a waste!!!!!

What happened?

By the way it was pine apple express.
