about to buy a green house...

Ok so please take it easy on me since im a noob with outdoor growing an doing ton of research.

im going to have 24 plants in the green house to flower only. Going to use tarp for roof to close up light after 12 hrs. Mylar the walls so its reflective and you cannot see inside green house so it stays legal.

the green house itself i will seal completely and put 6 ton ac inside it with a co2 burner an several fans an dehumidifie(s) .

pretty much i am doing what someone would indoor but using sunlight instead of 10 hps 1000w lights. Veg inside for 6 or 7 weeks then put them inside a sealed green house with good air flow, ac and 1400ppm of co2.

my questions are,

1 - how big will plants get compared to just leaving them in my 10 light indoor room?(is it worth even doing)
2 - will it affect the plants in bad way to not veg under the sun at all?
3 - how much of an area would i need for greenhouse if the plants get drastically bigger than having them indoor.( 4.5 Feet tall about)

I've never tried doing what you're doing but its pretty much an accepted fact that the sun grows bigger and better plants...its also free! And no your plants won't hate you for vegging indoors and flowering outdoors...I do several small grows a year going just that! They will flower early tho if you don't play the lighting schedules right...that's what I bank on to have year round harvests out here in sunny SoCal

Seems like a legit fuckin setup tho, I'd say go for it you won't be disappointed....I can't answer your area question tho I font use greenhouses

Just to clarify, you have ten (10) 1000Watt HPS fixtures that you could use? That's about 1,300,000 lumens! You might get more light indoors but that free sun compared to about 3,888 kWh/month or roughly $338/month is hard to beat!

Yeah i dont see why it be too different except no 1600 month electric bill an from what i see, 2lb a plant each harvest strain dependant. I can control light and get 3 harvests which would yield more than my 7 or 8 harvests a yr indoor... April 1st - june 1st... then june 1st - august 1st... then august 1st - october 1st... then veg indoor while other flowering.

just havent grown outdoor but cant see how they would grow so much more under sunlight during flowering only. Veg i can understand cause they grow whole time. This cost me prob 15k to setup which is less than my indoor setup costed to be perfect an only gets me 9 zips a plant or so cause hieght restrictions and light restictions ect. I only veg 4 weeks for indoor so i can harvest 12 plants every month...

ton of people i know grow these monsters indoors and use 1kw per plant but harvest 2 times a yr only an still get only 1 lb a plant tops. I get more yearly doing small veg time and perpetually.

The hard part is is keeping them small enough and having a large enough container. Mainlining is a great way to get good yield in a small manageable package.

Your correct an as im reading everything seems to be more of a learn from experience type thing cause sunlight hours and having heat from nice days vary... not trying to heat the place lol. Dont wanna spend a entire yr doing it just to learn but may have too.

also, to be legal it cannot be seen from view and has to be locked up which is why its hard to experiment without spending the money.

Have you found a greenhouse yet that suits your criteria? If so, it sounds some damn expensive, you could most likely buy supplies and make yourself one to your own standards, and you would save a crap ton of money that could go some where else into the grow.

found ones that seem alittle small for 24 but would suit maybe 12-16 for 3200$... i would build my own but it would be hard to seal an frame with an arch roof. plus zoning would be an issue for something built... i think a greenhouse wouldnt be somethign state would need to know is there.

still hoping to hear from someone who veg inside for 6 or so weeks an flowers outside to see if growth difference is huge for flowering indoor vs flowering outdoor.
