Well, i didnt get to spend a whole lot of time at Hempfest '12. But i was on a mission, a mission for seeds.

Bummed that i wouldnt be getting my copy of Dank signed by the author, I still made my way to Seattle for the brief time i got to spend down on Myrtle Edwards Park. I made my way over to the TGA booth, where i was greeted by the friendly faces of Jinxproof and Mr. Spliff themselves. After explaining my situation and actually getting to talk to someone that knows first hand about the TGA strains we all know and love, i procured a few of the strains on my bucket list, and some that i had been excited to see released.

I had been planning on choosing at least 4 strains to run this next year. Although i saved as much as i could to put towards seeds, money is tight being a new dad... and soon to be moving. So i opted for the 5 packs of:

Space Bomb
Space Dawg
Ripped Bubba
and Timewreck.

Now I realize i don't have 10 packs to sort out the different phenotypes of these strains, but i figure if i can find at least 2 keepers by the odds. So i am crossing my fingers i get 100% germination, and hope for a good ratio of girls to boys, as i wouldnt mind finding a male to toss a little pollen around with :).

So stay tuned, I am a devoted nerd and plan on treating these babies right!

Thanks again Jinxproof and Mr Spliff!

I cant wait to start these babies! I would like to grow an Urkle cross, as well as a Black Cherry Soda cross. The only reason i held out this go around was because i simply lack the funds, and i figure i will need a year to get through these seeds anyway. So i might as well wait it out and buy a fresh pack next year! :-P

Side note: I have been holding on to a pack of 16 Granddaddy Purps x Dutch Treat supposedly done by Ken Estes. So i do have that on the back burner to find a neat purple/grapey pheno. But I'm reluctant to start any of them, as I tried a pack of GDP x Grape Ape that all hermed in a room full of know females that did not. But, it's worth a shot!

Alright then boys, girls, and those on the fence,

I'm finally ready to kick this mofo off and put 3 Space Dawg and 3 Space Bomb to germ in paper towels. I'm sure you all are familiar with this method. Moist paper towel inside Ziploc bag, between two paper plates to keep the light off em. Ill be using filtered water from my Zero filter to moisten paper towels, which has a TDS of you guessed it: 0.

Closing this thread, as i am not about to kick off the garden... it's done kicked off! I got 2/3 space bomb popped and in dixie cups, cotyledons straight up in the air about to spread out any time now. I think that i may have squished one of the seeds on accident prior to germ. I got 3/3 on the Space Dawg, but im just barely seeing em break the surface. Got my fingers crossed!

Great! Congrats! I can't wait to hear how Space Dawg turns out for you. I have a few TGA strains waiting in the wings -- I'm growing Jillybean right now, then I'll be picking two for my next grow out of the following line up: Space Dawg, Ripped Bubba, Apollo 13, Qush and Plushberry.
