Activated charcoal for leaching salts in soil?

Do you think that activated charcoal added to water could be used to draw out excess salts that accumulate in the soil better than leaching with plain water for the last few weeks, or by "flushing" a lot of water through the medium at once?

Thanks

just use straight water and let the plant do it.

Use gypsum calcium sulfate as a top dress. The sulfate - will drop the positive calcium and bind to its preferred + sodium creating sodium sulfate which is then leachable and can then be flushed with a few heavy waterings. The free calcium is then in available form as well. Water IMO needs 10-20% runoff on waterings to accomplish the same which isn't what I want.
