Adding a dimmer

Hi guys, been a while since I’ve been on here. But I’m back and haven’t had much time to delve back into research. Had to put growing down for a couple of years and have forgotten a few things since..

What I’m wanting to do is add a dimmer to 200w worth of Cree cxb3590’s (50w each) running at 2.4 amps.

can anyone help me out? Not even sure where to start looking

Meanwell's 3 in 1 dimming function can use a 100k potentiometer, 1-10v or a 10v PWM signal to control the dimming function.

Bourns 100K potentiomenter (single-turn) – CobKits.com

It's a good idea to add a 10k resistor in series as many pots are a little under 100k due to manufacturing tolerances and anything under 100k will not allow full power.

Another option is a 1-10v dimmer. I'm using one of these atm, but there have been a few reports of them acting up over time but the same can happen with a 100k pot. Whatever you get, I'd buy a spare to have on hand.

I actually noticed that when the dimmer is hooked up to the driver I’m definitely losing a good amount of light. Thanks for the info!
