Adding blue spectrum bulbs during flower?

I have noticed a few people who have added blue spectrum (6500k) lights to their grow while flowering. What does this add to the grow? I have done a few grows now, but have only used red spectrum (2700k) bulbs. Just wondering what the pros, and or cons, off adding higher Kelvin bulbs are. If using 400 watts of 2700k bulbs, what would be the recomended wattage for 6500k bulb(s)? Couple of 42's?

plants like the full spectrum.. for instance.. i am currently doing a pc grow while waiting for a seed to pop out of a cup.. i believe its taking forever because i only have 2700k bulbs in there..if i had a couple 6500 it would of already sprouted

The only time I see to mix is with a auto flower..other than that I stck to the script , but I also veg mine for 6-8 weeks . That's my 2cents

also to lee... you don't need to be using those bulbs.. you need the 65k's to get them girl's up and vegging.. use the 27k's to flower with

i used all 5500K to veg and then replaced 2 of those with some 2700K CFL's. worked fine, i bet if i went straight to all 4 2700k's i would have flowered alot faster.
now i run all red spectrum lights and the progress is quite amazing

So you are now using all 2700k and the results are better than when you had a couple 5500's?

Yeah I know I need some 6500 k for veg but a pc box can only fit up to a couple bulbs..I am more concerned with the plant in flowering rather than a random unsexxed bagssed waiting to sprout while I wait for feminized seeds to get here..I'm just impatient : o

yes, im flowering right now with 4 2700K lights and its works perfectly fine.
Didnt ask if it worked fine. I asked if you notice better results using ONLY the 2700k. I am also ONLY using 2700k. I was wondering if adding a higher spectrum will make a positive difference.
