Adding CO2, need advice about Monitors / Controllers!

Hello,

I am converting a previously unsealed grow to a sealed grow and adding Co2. I need some advice on what combination of Co2 controllers and monitors I should get. I am looking for the most inexpensive combo that will do the trick. I don't need super accuracy, just something reliable and works with spending as little money as possible.

I plan on using a simple CO2 tank and regulator setup.

I was looking at this setup here... sounds like a good deal and does everything I need. It even has ethernet and remote temp / humidity / and co2 monitoring so I can keep an eye on my environment remotely. Any comments?

that just monitors, it doesn't control, they want another $99 to control it. this is the best bang for your buck

Yeah I was aware the controller addon was $99 more. I found the Titan Controls Atlas 2 for $180 shipped... looks like it would do the trick for controlling and monitoring co2 levels and costs a lot less.

I forgot what model titan I'm running but it measures and controls. Shuts off at night too. But you need a reg with it. I think I was operating for around $500 minus the tank. But to get to my point, titan is the only controller I have experience with but it does a great job.

Call around to your local grow shops and see who sells used equipment. I got my minigen and Cap ppm controller for under $200.

and it has a built in photocell, so it shuts off at night.

Going thru the same dilemma and planning to pull the trigger on SOMETHING this week. How do you folks feel about a preset controller like the Atlas 2 vs one with some flexibility like the Atlas 1, which looks to be twice the $ of the Atlas 2. The C.A.P. PPM 4 is pretty cheap (preset ppm level) and would work ok with my C.A.P. control unit but the reviews for the PPM4 look luke warm at best. Soooo, I'm down with the fact that I don't want to "know" only a calculated ppm in my closed grow room....I guess I'm willing to pay to dose properly but I'd like to have Atlas 1 flexibility/control for Atlas 2 money, or something like that. Any product wisdom, guys and dolls?

the c.a.p doesn't have a built in photocell, thats another $60, plus C.A.P just got bought by hydrofarm, so they may not make that anymore. Preset works great and for the money you save vs the atlas 1,it's pretty much a no brainer.

Mine does have a photocell, though I think the thing is pretty outdated compared to leading edge products. My GF bought it for me so I gotta keep it for awhile. Check this out. At $247 delivered, with variable settings, this Titan Atlas 9 may be my answer: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F2QLVPA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3H65ISLEOK8BJ&coliid=I2HVMV8XFGBSG
