Okay so lets talk about ppms and nutes;

i have a 55 gal res, with an airstone in bottom for veg and flower
I'm running a coco coir system with aeration formula coco coir for faster drain
I'm dipping into res and hand watering everyday when lights go on.
I have res hooked up to my r/o hydrologic with a floater switch. So as I pull water out it auto fills back uup ow I'm having a hell of a time getting a straight answer.

Lets say fresh barrel of r/o water. Now I'm gonna mix in my nutes. Running full strength is 835 ml advanced sensi a&b , the. 400 ml of each additives
once I mix everything in. I'm at 2200 ppm!!! So I take a couple buckets out mix in more water bring down to about 1000-1200 and feed then that.

IS THIS CORRECT?

and everyday as the ppm steadily drops. How do I know when to add more? And what to add more off and how much??
I'm so confused and so close to end I do t wanna fk up my crop.

Please help

Mix your nutes and once you've acquired the correct ppm in the 55 gal shut off the valve to the ro so it doesn't dilute your mix. If your just dunking in the res and hand feeding it doesn't need to be topped off all the time.
My ro bucket is just water and an air stone. I'll dunk the gallons of water out I need then mix the solution but my plants are in different weeks so different bottles are needed.

the nutes in the res will stay good for a week so if you don't have the ro leaking in to dilute you can just keep it until that barrel is empty.(remember week or so) Then refill and mix another batch.

If your running advanced you can get full strength just have to be careful I usually knock down 7 Ml's from the full strength on the bases but you'll just have to judge your plants and see what they can handle.

Its not a matter of what they can handle its a matter of what they need for maximum production. I tested ppm levels on 6 strains over a years period and although all could "handle" 2000 ppm and some even 2500+ without showing issues, all produced better and bigger buds when kept around 1000 ppm.

need to cut you mix in half before adding to the res, that should get you the ideal ppms, If you water and then have half a tank left, fill up and just ad back 20-25gl worth of nutes, that should get you back close to orignal.
