Adequate lighting? First grow cheap LEDs

I have converted my flower box completely from cfls to led lighting. The big one on the left is supposedly 80 watts. The other 8 are supposedly 28 watt each equalling 304 watts. These are cheap ebay screw in bulbs. I guess it might be 150 real watts If I'm lucky. What do you all think?

I think you should get a Kill-a-Watt meter and plug the lamps in to see what they actually draw, then you'll have solid information.

Those lamps are unlikely to be super efficient but they'll definitely grow some weed.

hey thanks for the quick reply, thats good to hear, sureley it should be enough to cover my little 2 square foot area.

i will definatley get a watt meter and see what im drawing. thanks.

Once you know what they're actually drawing you'll have a better idea of the light level. That will inform any adjustments you make going into bloom.

Is it 2x2'? That would be 4 sq ft. It's tough to tell scale from pics.

In any case, keep an eye on the leaves to make sure they aren't burning from having any of the lights too close and carry on!

yea id say so but its about 2 square foot of plant. jst my first grow and im only concerned about making it to harvest, not a big yield.

less is more. start with your lights high and lower them an inch or two a day. better to give em a little less light then to cook them and cause irreversible damage
