I don't do any kind of flush but do reduce feeding after week 6 for a known 9 week strain. Just kind of go by how the plant is looking. I'll give it nothing but RO water with a bit of Epsom salts the last week or two. Harvest when all trichs are good and cloudy but usually in stages. I'll take the ripe colas off the top and let the lower stuff ripen up more as they can still be mostly clear yet. I trim fresh off the plants and sl0-dry in doubled paper bags for up to 5 weeks before jarring up the buds for burping another few weeks. Have fairly severe arthritis in my hands so hate trimming and trimming after they've hung to dry is a lot harder than fresh. Only trimming the nicest buds and freezing a lot fresh for later processing into oils these days.

I've been growing with 400W bulbs too with Hortilux Super HPS being my fave. Picked up 3 used 600W digital ballasts, hort hps bulbs and reflectors for $60 each last Dec out in BC so using those when needed. Have a couple of 1000W units too.

:peace:
Well thanks again and thank you for your time . I'll definitely be incorporating some of that into my grow.

No I haven’t. But I’d definitely give it a shot!
Homebrewer has a thread of AN vs Dyna. I was about to buy AN but what I liked about Dyna is that even the owner tells you you jut need to use Foliage pro from start to finish, if growing in a potted medium. It seemed a lot easier for me. I also believe in Uncle Bens technique of keeping healthy green leaves throughout the entire grow and that seems to be consistent with what the owner of Dyna says.

Only one way to find out

I was talking to Advanced Nutrients' Grower Support line earlier and he recommended the bamboo stakes like that.
I started off with a tellis net.until all the buds started fattening. Then i cut the trellis off and using the bamboo too support the branches. Andy from advance nutrients also recommend I do this.
Why do you need some customer support phone rep from AN to tell you to stake up your plants? These guys are not messiah's for stating the obvious. People have been using stakes to hold up plants for years and years. It's a simple concept. I have about a hundred bamboo stakes I use to stake up plants. The idea didn't come from some guy at AN.

What makes AN so special ?, Why pay extra for them ?
Canadian company with no ties to disgusting corporations like Monsanto, Bayer, Hawthorne, GH and Scott's who are now all in bed together and have fought AN's openness about using their nutes for growing pot since AN started. Now that pot is becoming legal all over those pricks are jumping on the bandwagon and suddenly good for pot too. Hypocrites!

The pH Perfect aspect of AN nutes makes them more valuable to me and if you actually checked out the prices of their base nutes you would see they are the same or can be even cheaper than GH and others. I got gallon jugs the last time I bought them at $40 each at a hydro store in Kelowna, BC. The GH was $48 each.

The supplements are too expensive and not needed really so if you don't fall for the marketing they don't cost much. Nutes are a very small percentage of my growing costs anyway. Power is what costs the majority of my indoor grows. Everybody sells a bunch of different supplements for too much money too but AN is the bad guy? Seen how much is charged for all the organic goodies needed to build these elaborate super soils?!

Use what you want but bashing anyone for their choices is childish and generally born out of ignorance and influence from paid shills who work for the big corporate back-stabbers.

I cant wait tell I get really good at growing and can start hating advance as much as you guys .

While I don't care for AN and will never use their products I never mentioned anything negative about AN in this thread. It seemed as though you had an awakening by being advised to use stakes to hold up your plants. But since I'm already being called a hater then AN Sucks Balls.

Those plants don't look great. Sorry.
I have a lot of work to do and improvement to make. This is my first plant ive flowerd so I bet it does look shit crap to good growers. I'm always open to hear what im doing wrong . I know i have to work on temps and humidity. Not that my humidty is very high at all right now in my tent and ph and ppms eventually I'll get there. And hopefully grow alot better than this.

LMFAO!

Ummm, yeah sure....

They work but, they have unacceptable marketing practice's that go right on into direct lies....
They print their own propaganda magazine that lies more then tells truths.

They tell you you need a bunch of supplements to grow at a professional level - BS!

Your using the product as it's charted right?
Your plant is getting to much P (to early) and is yellowing out from the bottom up - Not good, pro's know it's "green to the end"..... Some strains show a natural late color change.

That problem is coming from their instructions to you... The plant shows a general low N issue at it's age (And the high P).

You can fix that (next run) by simply feeding the veg solution for the first 2 weeks of bloom, then 50;50 bloom and veg, for a week, and on to the full on bloom feeds after that. Might just work to go bloom at week 3 but, if it starts to go yellow again before week 7.....To much P still - do the half and half at week 3 thing.

Lastly - "flushing" is a MYTH! Once you harvest is done. Dry it in an area of 50% RH and do not "jar" it till the stems crack and not bend.
Now, once you jar it? Throw in a Bovida 58 or 62 packet and let it set for at least 6 weeks!

The result will be smooth and tasty with no harshness and a clean burn... It's that CURE time that does the work - NOT a "flush"! A nice side product of that cure time.. It will be noticeably stronger then dry it and smoke it!

Good luck and remember that there are better choices then AN....
If people who have a problem with AN spent less tim typing and more time understanding and following directions wouldn't confuse products in their mixes.
