You must have gotten bad advice to buy that stuff. Connissuer is made for a hydro set-up, not soil. Nirvana is ok, other products don't have very good reviews; i'm running bud candy, big bud, overdrive. i wanted to get some Pirahna but wasnt in my budget. I am trying to get off bottles all together (but still got plenty left), cuz organic tastes way better. No need to flush and a more natural and healthy way to grow & smoke.

I'm growing a chem dog diesel in the above pic it's in the bottom right of the pic. As far as what you said^^^^ you'll have to distinguish when your locking out from too much nutes to when its under fed, your on the right track with the feed more but just b careful sometimes they can yellow from over doin it just gotta know what your looking at. Not saying you don't already but just be careful before you decide to give it more food.
i know its cause im not giving them enough nutes i just didnt know if i should raise the ppm or add cal mag and leave it the same. now i know so i feel better about the next crop. thanks for the info.

I`m using Connisseur`s ph Perfect now, and I got one Word for you: AMAZING!!!!! :) I`m using it in soil and that work`s nice too, just give em 50% of recomended dosage, could even start of with 25%. This is some heavy shit so it`s easy to burn your ladies if you use too much in the beginning of flowering. In soil I end up giving em 50-60% of recomended dosage.. And for the ph-part, it really works! Don`t ask me how! :) The ph in my tapwater is 7-7,2 and it reduses it to optimal 5,5. I could try to get some pictures of em when it`s thanksgiving time :) Peace!

well i figure since i have learned so much from these forums i should try and contribute something.

im on my second grow (first indoor) using the ph perfect micro, grow, bloom formula along with voodoo juice, b52, big bud, bud candy, overdrive, tarantula, carbo load. also great white. and i make teas using iguana juice, some of my mommas organic compost and better world plant floods once in a while. and ive had what i would consider great success.

my outdoor plants in 5 gallon grow bags produced about a qp each of ghs chemdog. again my very first grow and i was pleased with the yield and quality. and this time around im only 11 days in to bloom but things are looking great. also i have two moby dick autos already flushing and about a week from harvest in the same room (have only been getting 12 hours light since everythging else went in to flower but am very pleased with how they are looking)

now, i dont know much about horticulture. but i do know about good bud. and the ph perfect produces some good bud at half strength. and i dont find it to be as much of a rip off as people claim. infact i see no issue. spending less than what a half zip costs on the streets for a few cycles seems worth it to this newb. although i do plan to run one plant next cycle with a ph and ppm meter and some sort of "standard" line up as i would like to compare, and more importantly i want to learn about what is going on with my ladies and why.

the one thing i find missing with the ph perfect, is you're totally reliant on the ph perfect to do its job, and am not sure what i would do if i ran into a problem. but i have not thus far. and it doing its thing totally hands free is kinda the point, so im not knocking it in anyway. i just want to learn and expand my base of knowledge and improve my techniques.

so as far as it getting me started and helping me get some stash to sit on to experiment with other things its gone above and beyond for me. and who is to say after trying other things and monitoring my own ph and ppm that i wont just come back to ph perfect? i find it a great tool. thats my 2 cents.

heres some pics from last years outdoor and my first indoor run

first two pics are the same plant. second is two of the four chems outdoor. fourth is the top of the nicer of the moby dicks. and the last one is a family shot of the moby dick, holy grail kush, and the deadhead og. everything but the MD is 11 days into flower

thanks again to this forum for all the great knowledge on here

@grim ^^^^^^^ Has my coffee not kicked in or does it look like that close up pik may indicate signs of mites? Take a magnifying glass and look on the undersides of the leaves and check. Also look closely: do you see little cob webs? I sure hope not because all the other piks looks like a superb grow. ^^^^^^

Most any type of ferts or balances, if properly applied, will give you some decent buds... Some people scream about how you are wasting your money, unless you use the cheapest products... But I look at it this way, any make or model of car will get you from point A to point B. But wouldn't it be silly to insist that everybody drive a Dodge Neon, because they are cheap to run?

That's not a good example as not every plant food will get you from 'point A to point B'. Plus, when you buy a Ferrari, you're buying performance and that's what some of these plant food companies want you to think. What people (usually beginners) don't realize is that foods like Miracle Grow or some other tub of cheap dry food in the hands of an experienced grower will do just as well as the highest priced snake oil found in your hydro shop. I'm personally beyond caring what people use these days as the information is out there. Good luck!

While any car (or nute) will get you from point A to point B, isn't the goal to search for the dankest dank?! I'd much rather fork over the few extra bucks if it means I'm gonna have bigger, frostier nugs in the end result. My girls are about a week out from finish and they look superb.

i guess the coffee is weak my man, no mites. altho i can see why you would think that as the plant does have yellow spotting on the fan leaves. those two plants will be pulled within a few days. thanks for the kind words, i dont know about superb, but everything is lookin nice. its crazy, just since those pics the three just budding plants all have made flower sites that all look like marbels now, and the moby dick has propbably gained twenty percent in weight, and the trichs are just swole as hell! starting to see an amber one here and there too, so deff ready for my purposes. just waiting for it to dry out a bit more. so stoked to smoke on my first indoor plants! thanks again my man, i see u have alot of posts. care to tell me what the most informative areas of the site is? as im trying to pick up as much info as i can as next run i will be doing one plant in the "standard manner" checking ppm and monitoring my own ph using a different nutrient line. as 1. its simply shit i need to know. and 2. i want to see what is truly the difference in price. as i dont find the AN as expensive as many say if for no other reason than how little goes a long way. also do you have a journal? would love to peep it.

Ya I feel ya there, I have a lot left after feeding two girls all the way up to week 7. Plus it makes it super easy, never having to worry about pH, ppm, or malnourishment. I have a few days left til harvest, my trichomes are standing straight up, swelling.

im currently using sensi grow/bloom 2 part for my outdoor soil grow (check out the link in my signature) and indoor dwc grow. works great, the only thing is that its more expensive than most brands. i would suggest buying small bottles of the nutrients first so you can test it out to see if you wanna stick with that line of nutes. i just ran out of my AN and i purchased FloraNova grow/bloom online, as i have heard great things about it. i also use Big Bud for my plants and it works great too, pricey though. good luck

Try adding some AN Overdrive if you can too; really packs a punch and makes them swell nicely.

any thoughts on nirvana?

thats the only addative other than sensizym on the ph perfect feed chart that i dont have that i believe might help alot in the yield/taste department.

other than ph perfect im using b-52, voodoo juice, bigbud, bud candy, over drive, carbo load, tarantula, iguana juice, and bud blood.

right now im not really tripping off stuff like rhino skin, or final phase, etc. for now im trying to focus on stuff that will directly improve yield, taste, vigirous growth, flavour etc. and feel that my feeding schedule reflects that?

i hope you/someone with experience can chime in here and validate my thinking here? thanks, just trying to learn and promote conversation on this very interesting and important topic.

also, just an update. harvested the moby dick autos. still drying so havent sampled the bud yet, but the sugar trim made some exceptional oil. i was concerned that an auto might not be potent enough for me. glad i was wrong. also from my understanding MD auto isnt a regular auto but takes an already existing auto strain, and then crossed it with a regular white widow.however they do it (even tho im all about regular genetics and seeds) it turned out really nice, and if someone finds themselves with limited time or space i would recommend this particular strain in auto form, even for a seasoned concentrate smoker. will try and add pictures of the flowering DH og and HG kush.

heard good things about nirvana, but really not needed w that line up. AN likes to really add on products for their lines. I wanted to go all out when i first bought the products but luckily didnt have all the money for em. grow shop guy talked into buying gmb 3part pH balanced, big bud, bud candy and overdrive; gave me free sample bottle of b-52. love the products, easy to use, great results (so far, still got few days til harvest); however, i'm going organic for all my next grows for taste (since i'm personal grower). There is an amazing grow report out there from someone who used like 8 diff nute companies and 10 diff runs to figure out which were the best nutes out there. Earth Juice, Advanced Nutrients, and Canna were the top 3 finishers for almost every category. If i can find it, then i'll post a link up here.
