Are AN primarily for hydroponically grown meds or just as well for soil? For soil would powder be better than liquid? And for those that use AN already what are the core nutes to buy for healthy plants and increase yeild?

You can use AN in soil with great results. Usually the difference between liquid and powder or granulated nutrients is concentration levels. Powders are usually higher, therefore less is needed while mixing. But not always. I use primarily liquid nutes with the exception of Bud Blood powder.

By core nutes do you mean base nutrients? I use all AN and use Sensi grow a&b for veg and Connoisseur a&b for bloom, as my base nutes. I use the whole AN line up with the exception of Mother earth tea grow and bloom.

Using only sensi grow & bloom with sensizym, Bud Blood, Big Bud, and Carboload or Bud Candy and you will be well on your way to some good smoke. But be warned only use 1/2 or so of what the labels tell you to keep from burning them. Ditch the soil and use Sunshine mix #4, it goes alot further than bags of soil and if you use the Sensizym it will enable you to re-use it, again and again. Good Luck.

You can totally use Advanced Nutrients for soil or hydro, though they're really the most effective in hydro, in my opinion.

I tend to like powder better for growing since it goes farther than the liquid would. Plus, it's much cheaper that way.

The base nutes you could use a variety of different products from AN, but I tend to recommend Grow-Micro-Bloom for soil based grows.

But I'm sure others with Advanced Nutrients experience in the soil (more than I have at least) will give you other suggestions.

Adding other nutes is a good idea too since that can only make your grow stronger and stronger each time.

AN works just fine in soil. The plant in my avatar was grown with AN in Fox Farms Happy Frog soil with a 400 watt light.

Good luck on your grow.

Cool thanks for responses guys. Powder sounds like the best deal. Its just hard to decide what essentials I need to use and not buy into all the unneeded crap.

How much Big Bud should you use for soil growing outdoors? My other nutrients for flowering are flora nova bloom, diamond nectar(aka dog shit), organicare seaweed and Molasses... I was wondering how much Big Bud i should use in combination with these other nutes, its in powder form and only 130 grams so I'd like to make it work for 2 or 3 plants

I found I basically only needed a sprinkle of the BB powder. If you have a TDS meter to read how much your putting in - that would be great.

And when I say sprinkle... I mean it. First time I used it I tried going by the label and it burned the shit out of my plant even at about 2/3 of a dose. Once I reduced that even further and used it on another plant (didn't use it on the rest of the plants because I was affraid of burning all my plants) - I got the plant in my avatar. Stuff works great.
