If you're looking to use Advanced Nutrients, I would suggest one of their growing bundles so you don't miss anything.

I don't know much about the Jungle Juice lineup, but that's one that's just like GH, so that might be good - and I've seen some specials on it so it's pretty cheap right now.

When I was starting out, I used the Hobbyist Level bundle, so I'd suggest that one.

Sensi Grow A&B
Sensi Bloom A&B
Voodoo Juice
Big Bud
B-52
Overdrive

Easy to use and great results for my MMJ in the past. It has everything you need to get started with AN.

Probably the most direct substitution would be Iguana Juice, Bud Ignitor, Big Bud and Overdrive. Tossing in some Sensizym and Voodoo Juice wouldn't be bad either.

I would say carbo load as well, and I would go soiless with a synthetic fertilizer. Shit is pricey but not really when you get four times the return of other companies. H&G super inconsistent and engineered for and tested on tulips, my plants have higher demands than tulips. The only complaint anyone ever has about advanced is the price, I was uneasy at first, like man i just dropped a stack on nutes but I did four runs before i had to re-up and my yields were four times better. There formulas are super concentrated so you only need like a 1/4 of the recommended dose, buying a liter of advanced is like buying a gallon of something else, but you get better results and much happier girls.

You guys can do what you want but I won't ever use their overpriced junk again. About 5 years ago I bought into their whole marketing scheme and got almost the entire line of products. I spent about $500 as well as about an hour every two days playing chemist. I had the chart, paper, pen, calculator, graduated cylinder, pipet - everything but the lab coat. I was also doing a soil grow side-by-side, using nothing but Fox Farms Happy Frog. The soil grow was better all around than the hydro that I spent so much money and time on. Just a voice of experience here my friends. Looking back, switching to a *simple* two products was one of the best decisions I've ever made (as far as growing goes).

I am a beginner and I'm leaning toward your way of thinking. I mean, its just a plant! Does it really need a whole line-up of nutes? Why would you need more then 1 bloom nute? I'm starting to think that its mostly marketing to make you think you need all that stuff. The "hobby" bundle has 6 nutes? 6!! I don't want to know how many are in the advanced class.

Not saying that they don't work or its not needed, but it seems like a waste TO ME. Been using off the shelf MG nutes and they worked fine for around $3/each.

Can any one recommend 1 or 2 "simple" nutes that they found effective? I don't want a lab coat either.
